As for Haruhi... first season is good, second season is good except for endless eight arc which is torture, and the movie is excellent. Should probably watch the episodes in chronoloical order though. I find myself wishing I did that.

If you FRAPS stuff it's not THAT big. uncompressed 1080p video is about 2G/min. So someone must ripped BD used a crazy format.
As a comparison LoTR BD set is 250G.
Huge fan of UFO Table since Futakoi Alternative and Coyote Ragtime Show. They managed to make 2 pretty mediocre series feel epic.

I use mkvmerge GUI to remove the english dub. You can just google it and install it. Put the file into it, then uncheck the english audio script to remove it. Or if you want to just change the default settings, uncheck the english audio as the default setting and move the JP audio up and change it to default. Same thing for changing default subs.

What the fuuu......... I'm content with just downloading 60 MB files in 240p or 360p. Man but 1 GB per episode? My 1.5 MBPs internet would just die.
the torrent downloaded at 250kb/s lol , Im watching it on a pretty big tv though so I do need at least 720 or 1080p. During OP's and ED's my wifi silently curses at me from downstairs.. especially the steins gate OP holy shit that was so bad, shit jumped to 100MBp/s and it can only sustain about 45.

Kind of awkward how FT dragonslayers are like...saiyans but somehow able to deal with super saiyan better dragon slayer levels, so the other guild just powers up to super saiyan 2 dragon force or something wut.
Thats how shounen anime generally works, they fight someone stronger and get beat it up. Then they realize how awesome they are and beat the other guy up, to which the other is always extremely surprised because theyre always arrogant. Then the bad guy yells, lol i was just playing lets get serious. The good guys get beat up again, and ofcourse one of their friends gets really hurt. Then they realize the power of friendship and love and hearts and flowers. And with their new found out of nowhere powerup they rape the bad guy and everyone goes back to loving each other.
Sometimes the bad guy gets back up if he was really strong and yells LOL THAT WASNT EVEN MY FINAL FORM. At that point some other good guy character shows up thats completely op so they beat the bad guy again. Ofcourse the bad guy flees to return later for revenge with some other power he got somewhere.

Yeah Bakuman is pretty good. I have my complaints, especially the ending, but overall was a good read.

The two themes it hammers into your head the whole time are 1) Detectives solve mysteries (after the fact), not save people 2) When crimes happen, people you care for disappear just like that, and you don't get any farewells or closure or anything It makes you experience these in a rather fascinating way, such that I don't think any other medium can replicate the effect.
