Wait, since when did Another have cute girls surviving cute death? And it's not that unreasonable to expect horror out of a horror show. Instead we get comedy, which is fine to enjoy, but also a good reason to hate on it. So if a show is labeled mystery, horror, and action but it turned out to be K-ON, it's not okay to complain because you like K-ON? Why bother categorizing stuff into genres if the label is never accurate?
I feel like if something is good, it doesn't matter if it was supposed to be labeled a certain way. If I watched Redline expecting racing and got K-ON Kart, I'd still like it, because I like K-ON.

I'm not saying that just being enjoyable makes something good, Another could be a terrible anime, but it's still fun to watch. And if reading the novel would have ruined that fun for me, I'm glad I didn't.
And another use of my face when brave 10, guilty crown, sympho and rinne are supposed to envelope you with storytelling.
I just meant that you can't really watch an episode out of order, or skip an episode, without missing something important. In Another, nothing is really important, it's like 10 minutes of Mei, and 10 minutes of nameless "not-even-important-enough-to-be-supporting" characters deaths.
People here are always over analyzing anime to death. No one can ever enjoy a show without dissecting it to the cellular level until it is no longer even remotely enjoyable

Welcome to the internet?
Welcome to people with a functioning brain.
More like welcome to TL ADT.
On another note (pun not intended), I wish I had a PSP. These Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable themes are so cool/kawaii~. Especial the 10th one!

My bets: it will talk about Misaki and her's sister.

Which makes the comment pretty redundant dont you think ? There isnt much to talk about if you dont do that alot of the time. Unless youd rather be left with a whole host of ...
"Ooohhh I love "insert anime" so much, X character so kawaaiii."
Dont get why doing so makes any show less enjoyable, We would never get our maso kicks if we couldnt rant about bad shows (justifiably anyway).
I think what Tonight is saying that it's fine to discuss things, so long as you don't pick it apart so much that your nuances get in the way of enjoying a show.
I agree, Rebs, that we can rant and talk about these things so long as we're justifying it and not sounding like complete tards, but I also think there's a certain point where it just makes the show worse.
Not sure where that point is though.
And speaking of pointy things, I just finished Seirei no Moribito. Holy cow that was entertaining.
I love over analysing stuff (anime, poetry, znf). It's never "wrong" to over analyse. You also can't stop me from over analysing. I have a brain and it thinks, whether you like it or not. I would never enjoy my top 3 favourite anime (ef memo, bake, utena) as much if I didn't over analyse them. I had a lot of fun reading other peoples' take on those shows too. Thinking is fun, and it's not exclusive to tladt either (I do almost none of that over analysing on tladt).

Yea but usually dont do that for good shows, heck not even for average shows. And shows like Bake if well done pretty much ask for it.

Ok that last over analysis was uncalled for.
I'm putting you on the same level as anime and poetry, that's a compliment.
