I hope he sticks with Shou, she's much more interesting than Yuki, imho.

Little information, sadly. If it had not been the next to last episode I probably would not have written anything (just like the beach episode).
I'm glad I was right about the fire, though it was pretty easy to guess considering the huge amount of foreshadowing in the first episode. Still, it would not have been guessable from watching episode 1 only once.
Considering that Akazawa received close to no background this episode, I have no choice but to discount her. There is just no evidence except the hand feeling bullshit, and that's not a piece of evidence, it's either foreshadowing or trolling.
Now let's discuss other things. The crazy bitch claimed that she was with the other Misaki in elementary school and she didn't have an eyepatch, but that the new Misaki has an eye patch, and so it cannot be the same, thus she's dead. Clearly the official answer that we are supposed to come up ourselves is that they're the two sisters and she's just confusing them both. This gives us an undeniable proof that Misaki's sister truly existed. It does not mean, however, that Misaki did not replace her anyway. As I said last week, the curse needs to change facts as well as memory.
There's another thing that annoy me, and it's that no one seem to be aware that Misaki's sister died. Of course, it's possible that the town is too large for that, but with everyone around you dying, you would probably try to investigate a bit about the deaths happening in town. This is not a piece of evidence towards anything, just a thought.
At the end of the episode, we see Misaki climbing up the stairs, as if she had business there. In the preview, we see her going down other stairs with Akazawa. It is clear that Akazawa will pursue her, but it still unknown what Misaki is trying to do up there. That is quite an annoying cliffhanger but I'm pretty sure where she is going is very minor. She might just be going up to go down from somewhere else because damn Akazawa is blocking the way. In any cases, I'm wasting my time on this paragraph.
In the end, both Misaki being dead or Misaki not being dead are still very valid theories, but since there is just so much more stuff on Misaki than there is on anyone else that is not the main character (which has been completely forgotten from the show, I actually very much enjoyed the calls with his father because I trust someone who is not in the city to be telling the truth). My guess for this week is still then on Misaki, and I'm prepared to be wrong. If I'm wrong, then too bad I guess. I at least very much enjoyed trying to figure that one out, and I appreciated this show. + Show Spoiler +The answer as to who is dead - the key points are: episode 1, episode 10 and a phone call with dad. There are better hints than those tbh considering the real key points basically blurt out the answer.

A response I got when I asked someone what they thought about Mirai Nikki:

Can't say I entirely disagree with it, but I still find the show entertaining. As did he.
Edit: Oh and I'm having a hard time coming up with what anime to throw in my brother's face since he said something along the classical lines of "isn't anime for kids? like pokemon?"
Also, I've watched Moretsu Pirates now, it's good. Gonna check out some of the other recommendations as well soon.

I'd also put Gurren Lagann, but that's good fun for all ages :D
Also, about Mirai Nikki. I've not seen the anime, but if it's anything like the manga, it's like "This is great! I'm really enjoying this!"... until the ending. The last like, 20 chapters are just...

Granted, Ecael is probably finding it even funnier for different reasons, but I haven't read the novel either and still thought that last ep was pretty hilarious. They could have had the same events play out in a much more believable and logical manner, thus giving it actual horror elements, but instead they just threw everything at us without a care for execution and I couldn't help but laugh. Also, happy birthday Elem, fellow KawaiiRice fan!
Random and unimportant question for Ecael: + Show Spoiler [Another 11] + How did the fire/explosion work in the novel, if at all? That annoyed/entertained me the most. "hey look a pretty big fire! Let's close the doors and wander around for 15 minutes trying to kill each other (anime time). NOW I start to smell *something*. Let's open this door which is apparently emitting no light, heat, or even smoke that indicates a fire and whattheexplosion!!!!" Clearly, that room was made of the most powerful fireproof material known to man to be able to stop a fire from spreading by keeping the doors closed. At the very least, it must've been airtight lol. Even funnier that one guy got completely burned by the fireball and the guy standing right next to him is completely unharmed.
I actually initially thought this was a dream/illusion of some kind because the fire was so illogical (there wasn't even light or smoke when he first went to the already opened door). Actually I'll use that as my final guess. This whole thing is a stupid dream of some sort created by Misaki's Sharingan. Now she regrets it. All the "hints" are explained by an incomplete illusion on her part because she didn't inherit the Mei bloodline ability and stole the eye from her sister. I'm going to stick with this for the last week lolol.

PA Works realized that they have a trainwreck on their hands and decide to see if they can take it full circle into awesomeness by throwing more shit at shit, basically.
In terms of the fire, there was fire in the books, but no one got burnt to a crisp Hollywood style. Incidentally, the door doesn't need to be fireproof or airtight if the building was modern (unfortunately, it wasn't, it was supposed to be a log house). Assuming that there was regular levels of insulation though, it was possible for what was shown to actually happen. Well, the doorknob should be hot and there might be smoke coming out. The room itself would be in a vacuum-like state, opening the door would've caused something like a flashfire from the rush of fresh air inside...not that it matters at all because it was a log house. Oh yeah, it won't be enough to incinerate either.
I like the sharingan theory.

Well, yes but eventually, the fire should get through the insulation. I guess it's more a matter of how much time really passed; felt like they were running around long enough for it to spread elsewhere, but that's anime time for you. I mentioned airtight due to the lack of smoke and light, actually, rather than the explosion. The fireball explosion is actually what I approve of the most in terms of physics (was more a result of several other not so believable things) but still hilarious to see. Not that it matters since it was a log house.
