Oh huh mysterious girlfriend X is getting an anime adaption, i wonder how they will go about it, will watch that. also need to catch up on the mangaAnd zombie desuka, it's funny. things i'll test are: accel world, sankarea, otome x amnesia. dunno about other stuff, I don't ussually watch many currently airing things. Also better manga for ferrose to recover loli loving would be catching up on kodomo no jikan. I like how the main guy/girl in tsukiyo first thinks about installing his new game and then about exams, lol. O wow i love the art starting at chapter 2
Anyone else reading RRR? I'm probably way behind on this, but suddenly a bunch of chapters started going up online, so I picked it up. I'm enjoying it, it's the first boxing manga I've ever read, and it's pretty interesting so far.
Not sure Drama belongs in ADT but then again we kinda became the Modern Visual Culture thread anyways. and it was manga based so. (Manga art was bleh, it was old though but bleh enough that made it un-readable for me) on the topic of Dragon Zakura a drama I recently finished I really liked it. Plot: Ex-gangster Lawyer try to get a bunch of "fail-tards" (not really most of them are children of unfortunate circumstances but you get the point) into Toudai. OP
It was overall pretty entertaining, Seeing the lawyer own all the dumb teachers hard. Definitely a good series worth watching.

Oh yeah that's right I keep forgetting about that.

I am by all accounts an anime noob and am hoping some of you gurus out there will be able to help me get back into the swing of things with some series suggestions. I browsed this thread for the first time today and must say 1800 pages is overwhelming to take in at once! I am looking for stuff along the lines of:
Lots of Action/Fighting (swords or guns, not so much mech) Generally enjoy tournament or war type series Not that into all female gangs (exceptions can be made I suppose) Decent quality I was a little turned off by "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" just as a reference
My favorite animes to date that I've seen are: Berzerk Ghost in the Shell Macross Plus
Thank you to anyone who responds and I hope everyone is doing great!

Like 2 episodes ago, when she went onto that passenger ship, they all treated it like a show because they are rich faggots, and it was something interesting and exotic (and maybe they thought it was just a show?), and apparently their losses were covered by the ship's insurance or something. Still haven't gotten around to the most recent episode, but I imagine they will get to more serious pirating and stuff in the future.
I see, well I get the part that they were insured but for some reason the privateers just seemed like a type of traveling circus for the entertainment of the rich faggots while the privateers can get something out of it of their own. It's interesting I'll keep an eye out for more of it.
btw how did you see my post?
it got mentioned in the last episode that they cant do anything major because the captain is still sitting in school. So it might be questionable how much large scale pirate action we will be seeing anytime soon.

that actor will always be the state attorney from Hero for me. It's hard to picture him in a more serious role.

The nature of the privateering gets a bit more elaborate and flashy in the recent one. It hasnt gotten anywhere yet beyond her transitioning/training phase. Its a 26 episode show so the pacing is fine imo. She still has issues to deal with so its working well so far, surprisingly.
and I have to admit my initial impression was travelling circus (precisely those words) to till I looked it up a couple of weeks back. Things will probably get serious, it makes no sense for that to not happen.

If you hated Naruto's character, maybe not. But overall, I enjoyed it. Middle dragged a bit but the ending made up for it. The characters are all interesting too.

Blasterion i do the opposite of hate you, cause you introduced me to Yuri, which is great and usually beautiful stuff. edit: omg i didn't notice saint seiya, wtf that's SO OLD, is anyone else gonna see how it is? I'll probobly drop it though if it's just like typical shounen stuff aimed at 13 year olds.
