If you mean actual detective interaction ala Phoenix Wright, the only other one I can think of is Caucasus (same company), but it was a pretty bad one, especially considering that there's like no way in hell you can beat the game without a walkthrough - I tend to give KnS a 100/100 because its execution of the theme it kept hammering into you is unbelievable, but Caucasus was just hilariously bad. I actually streamed that and we had some great lulz, but yeah.
What was the first one... I keep thinking of the OP song's title... Carthagra? doesn't have the detective interaction elements as it was a straight VN, but that's a prequel to KnS and might tickle your fancy (no idea if either of those two are translated though).
Otherwise yeah, detective stuff isn't touched much in VNs. Phoenix Wright stuff would be your best bet.
Edit: Sharnoth is as detective as Code Geass. ie. It's not. It's basically Count of Monte Cristo.

Shikkoku no Sharnoth.
Its detective, not sure if this is the type you want though. I have this bookmarked to play when I have time during spring break. This song is what sold me:
PM'd you more details.
LOL @ Sharnoth being detective. Sharnoth was fun though Re:Uta I went back and beat all the minigames.

And since the Count has looked into the events of his past therefore he is a detective thus Sharnoth totally legit recommendation to someone who wants something like Kara no Shoujo.

Just finished part 1 of Legend of the Galactic Heroes: EPIC + Show Spoiler +
The plot for this series so far is virtually perfect (except nothing can actually be perfect). I love how they use really minor or one episode characters to further the themes behind LoGH. The one that almost made me cry was on the farming planet where the Agriculture officer renewed the farming only to have the Alliance Fleet rob everything. Yang is a genius and needs to be ruler of the universe or something. Lohengramm totally knows whats up and deserves to be in charge of the Empire. Several things shocked me: First, how Greenhill was commander of the Emergency Council and how he died. I was really sorry for his daugher. Second, that Jessica Edwards dies. Her death really made me sad for Yang. T_____T Third, the death of Kircheis. I didn't want him to die. 'nuff said Unfortunately I probably won't catch up on the other episodes, but this is EPIC.

You won't catch up on the other episodes...? You mean you are taking a break????
Season 1 was really good, but just wait till you get to Season 2, and Season 3. The climax of Season 2 is so godly, you will think it can't get any better. And then it does when you get to Season 3. Season 4 is then a good wrap up.
Kircheis' death was so sad. One of the few times an anime has made me tear up. What is Space Napoleon supposed to do without him? :<
Since you finished Season 1, who are your favorites thus far, outside of the main two (Yang and Reinhard)? It takes as while to learn all the millions of names in the show, but you are about at the right point where names start to stick.

Favorites: Kircheis, Greenhill's daughter, Jessica Edwards, The Ritten-Rose guy, and maybe the 2 Imperial generals that are always together (Mittenmeir and the yellow-haired guy), and maybe Adm. Metzker or whatever his name is...all I can think of now. But yeah, I'll try to catch up on Season 2, but I have a lot of work to be doing.

Not that it's important, but in one scene later on in the show, you can see a statue of Jessica. It's never really commented upon, but I thought it was a rather nice touch, especially when you consider how important the role she played was in Alliance history.
Kircheis' death definitely came out of left field. Based off of LoGH's reputation, it was given that some main characters would die, but him dying so "early" in the series certainly came as a shock to me.

Schenkopp and the Rosenritter are actually ridiculous. I'd almost go as far to say that they make up about half of Yang's firepower.
Mittermeyer is the yellow-haired guy lol. Reuenthal is the black haired guy with heterochromia.
Merkatz is a badass. Generally every old admiral who is actually competent is worth their weight in gold.
making me want to re-watch LOGH >< so good. Even if you're busy, you should definitely continue watching if only 1-2 eps a day. It's too good to put off and it's really interesting to see the changes that take place due to season 1 ending...well everything is interesting but yeah.
Blast, if you're in the mood for some tsundere, try Unbreakable Machine Doll if you haven't already. Only 18 chapters translated so plot hasn't really gone anywhere but the tsundere is pretty good :D

I thought I commented on that already but maybe I haven't, but a man can only put up with so many good art shit plot mangas at once.
Also what is good about that tsundere even? Other than cute art and being better than clingy doll.

Cyber Formula was pretty fun Hayato X Askua Osamu X Claire Naoki X Miki Kaga X Aoi Manager
Seems pretty good in terms of not letting anyone feel super left out. Well Randoll, but we all know his unrequisted love for Asuka will be unanswered since Asuka already has Hayato lol.
The action was really good heh... Rewatching it was really enjoyable and reliving the childhood. But for some reason I really like having multiple couples in a story. Since when some one (Towards the beginning Naoki was totally getting shafted because Miki was on Team Sugo lol.... but you knew they were going some where with that relationship.) Nobody really care much about Osamu X Claire because that was a given Knight Schmacher's lady had to be her and there really wasn't anyone else that'd take the spot. Guderlian is a playboy so he gets harem ending with all his fangirls and Heniel too. + Show Spoiler +

I don't know what Kara no Shoujo is like, but Sharnoth is definitely good. The minigames are too easy though. : /
Inganock has a better OST too (not that Sharnoth's was bad).

True, but a tsundere-con can put up with a lot of shit plot + tsundere mangas. What I like most about her is the blushing (which would fall under cute art) but I think just the fact that she isn't the horrible 99% tsuntsun mode that is normal nowadays was good enough for me.

All of the steamengine series games suffered from decidedly average OSTs, though most of them have had like one song that stands out.
Hard mode was from ummm after clearing under extra, iirc.

My yardstick is the usual Kurisu+Nomura Mizuki heroines so yeah, being less shit than completely shit still isn't even par.

Yeah, well I wouldn't be a tsundere lover if my standards were remotely close to yours. It's not like anything I say will satisfy you because I'll admit my reasoning boils down to "because I like tsunderes."

He can have it.
I liked Sharnoth a lot more from story and setting perspective though. But the goddamn repeating passages still don't go away >.>
All the parallels to real life British historical figures are pretty awesome too.
