people here will start asking questions like "are we really alive or this is some dream ? " or "what does it mean to be alive?" or "are we supposed to reject every crazed lunatics idea ? or we are just brainwashed by the government to reject ideas which speak of the truth ?" and shit like that

Nobody has even mentioned Zoro within the last several pages except in relation to Usopp being the strongest in East Blue lie. Quote the person you're talking about if it's out the blue. There was a discussion way back in this thread where someone speculated Zoro cut his own eye to handicap himself since the poster also speculated that Mihawk lost his strongest swordsman title because of an eye injury. Find the original post before disagreeing because the poster had more reasoning. I didn't agree with it then or with their follow up responses.

Thinking about it, it appears to need to be activated within the castle, or else he would have done it before sh*t hit the fan. I do think his strings create the zone around the space which defines the "bird cage". Not only that but his strings to control anyone caught inside it are a lot. Pica is there for the hard core zone control to keep them in place. If Pica fails to hold them in place, Trebol could always use his fruit powers in tandem with Pica. Both Diamanante and Law would work as close combat zone control in tandem with Pica and Trebol as "long range" zone control. that way, it gives further reason ( as oppposed to just their names sounding like the symbols in cards) as to why these 4 specifically as his elite officers. Plus Law could in theory create a room similar in size to the birdcage if he was given more than enough time. My speculation though. So I could be wrong.

It would be pretty silly not to have one given the consequences. Forcing no one to leave the island doesn't seem like it would accomplish very much, since they all want his head. This makes sense. I too think that Bird Cage is not an explanation as to why he is alive, but a backup plan to cage all everyone on the island should something happen to Sugar

Well, too throw in my two cents again(I posted it earlier). I think Zoro lost his eye in a battle with Mihawk in which Zoro won and became the top swordsman in the world. Meaning he is just going along with Luffy out of dedication(Which fits with his character.), Adding to my theory is his overall lack of effort needed in straight up destroying some decent opponents and a lack of "I can't lose here, have to fight Mihawk again" Attitude in general. The biggest reason I think Oda would do something like this is, No matter how epic he tries to make that fight it will never live up to reader's expectations/hype. Have it happen off screen and do a flashback to it I think is the overall best option. Also added bonus points for the insane/god tier level foreshadowing of having Zoro show up first after the time skip and Luffy showing up last as if signifying the first and last Straw hat to accomplish their goal. It is a bit of a crackpot theory, I would not in the least be surprised if I was wrong but I think it's good food for thought and makes for a better discussion in this thread then the ethics of honour at the very least....

You know at first I was like no way Zoro surpassed Mihawk already. But I like the idea of him showing up first being symbolic for him realizing his dream first.
