Haki allows a user to hit through Luffy's rubber and through a Logia's element, I don't think it's impossible that it would also hit through Kuma's pads, or act as a shield against the shockwaves. Haki might also serve as a shield against the teleportation thing. Thing is, Haki has been shown as the sort of "resistance" to Devil Fruits. A fight been an ability user and a Haki user would come down to who is stronger in terms of Haki vs Devil Fruit. Similarly, I think that Haki could work as a shield against Magellan's poison, though of this I'm not sure. Haki seems kind of amazing when you think about it. I'm guessing that Haki's biggest weakness is that it's kind of a predictable ability. If you're fighting against a Haki user you sort of already know the extent of his abilities (if he doesn't have a Devil Fruit that is), disregarding his actual fighting techniques. However, as I say this, I'm already wrong, as it's been shown several times in One Piece that people have been able to call on different elements for their attacks. Lightning for that thunder Mcdude, fire for Luffy and Sanji. That's the weirdest shit of all in my opinion, I wonder if that gets an explanation or not.

Vergo was essentially the best right? Or just the best in control? Because Law's DF is essentially a cut within a "room". So, it was harder to defend because you don't know where they would be hit by the attack. You could argue Vergo had to "dilute" his haki just to spread it althroughout. But this dilution, eventually did "fail" againsts Law's big attack and he managed to cut through the Haki which was still active after the attack. So say you were against the Paw Paw Fruit, he has not just bullet type attacks, but an attack that can cover your whole body and even an island or big part of the ocean.. Blocking with all haki concentrated in your hands would still mean you get hit in the rest of your body right? Spreading it all throughout doesn't prevent the damage as well because the evidence of the fight against Vergo proves otherwise. My mind is just running these ideas we have already and am interested how you guys see it.

Zoro tried to cut him with the same technique he used to cut steel against Das Bones, but didn't even scratch Kuma iirc. Meaning Kuma's body is even harder than steel. He was already a part-pacifista at that time, and his body was in fact made out of some sort metal.

in fact, Mihawk was the only shichibukai who didnt manage to hurt anyone during marineford. I still dont get why so many people think he will be killed by Shillew though. I guess it is because it would give Zoro a good grudge and earn him a rival amongst the Blackbeard Pirates.

The guy fought evenly with Vista in marineford, how can you place him on par with the 4 strongest pirates in the world? in fact, Mihawk was the only shichibukai who didnt manage to hurt anyone during marineford. Dude - you are super fucking good at pulling facts straight out of your ass. No one knows how strong Mihawk is, but the fact that Vista is a swordsman is pretty much a gurantee that Mihawk is stronger, hence the name "greatest swordsman in the world". Unlike Dragonball there is no such thing as fixed power levels, and there is no way to tell how strong someone is solely based on the outcome of a single fight.

Mihawk himself said at the end of his duel with Vista that they were 1:1 and the duel went on for quite some time. If he was fucking Yonkou level he would have defeated him rather quickly without much effort dont you think? the title "Strongest Swordsman" obviously dont mean as much as some people think, since mihawk hasnt really done anything impressive in the series at this point, and since this aint a "powerlevel" manga like you say, all we can do is look at acomplishments and mihawk hasnt pulled off anything that impressive. So why do people keep saying he is yonkou tier? Im not saying hes weak, im just saying there is NOTHING that indicates that he is a Yonkou level pirate atm.

Because he came out on top in the duels with Shanks? Because being the best swordsmen in the strongest pirate crew of the time means something? He's right, there's no fixed power levels in One Piece. Fights go one way then another. Just look at Either way, doesn't matter.
