It's somewhere half between both translations that i was tryng to explain as you could view it as DD explaining her betrayal and him thinking he has already seen through the plan and that she has "forced" his hand into completely crushing the alliance as opposed to the indifference he sort of felt towards Luffy.

Though I'm still not sure other people will read these posts as I'm trying to have them read....

Really, they have vastly different meanings to me? The part about her insisting on breaking the alliance made it seem it was still ongoing and she was acting as a double agent for DD to break them from the inside. Now with the new translation, it turns out her wanting to break the alliance was a complete fabrication due to the mistranslation and never part of the story.

At least that's how I read it, which is why I was confused.

I interpreted both translations as things that had happened in the past. Considering how she changed side since the last time she spoke to DD (i.e. when she could express her opinion of wanting to break the alliance — though that never happened according to the latter translation), it was irrelevant information at this point. She had already switched sides (thanks to Sanji) and wouldn't have been more of a double agent than she would have been otherwise.

waitwaitwait. in the chapter it seemed like this cavendish kid was fully aware of both of his personalities, although that could be wrong, but if he is, then why did he leave rebecca (coldly assuming he knows he didnt slice her, and a master swordsman should know that) the last fighter standing? or is this me being silly?

Vivi also had a lot more chapters of content to build her up than Rebecca has. Although Vivi was kind of grating to me. If she had joined, I'd easily be able to peg her as my least favorite of the crew (which is a lot to me, since I like every member of the Strawhats).

Rebecca has had a tenth of the screen time Vivi had so you really can't compare the two. It was sarcasm anyway, OP only has like what? 1-2 top teir female in terms of strength? There are very little mid teir female characters as well. I actually wish that OP had more strong females in it, which is why I wouldn't mind another female crew member who can take out more then fodder (that is if the SH even get anymore members besides possibly adding Jinbe).

I just reread the first 350 chapters. And at the point that Vivi had the chance to join she had been on the ship for 100 chapters. And at that point they were at chapter 200 so she was around for 50% of the manga. Tons of content!

Big Mom's like the strongest female by far, and then the next strongest we've seen is like a huge notch below that. Still better than Naruto in terms of female strength though

I was rereading the cp9 arc and I ran across this.

People were discussing Luffy's mother a while back. I still don't think it is crocodile but the question was.
Won't you draw Luffy's parents?
The answer was that will be drawn in the next chapter. Which I'm sure just referenced the fact that dragon was mentioned but he says they and parents thus one could take it as Luffy's mother was in that same chapter and since she was apparently already drawn it is a character we know.
