She offered her services(devil fruit) to DD back when he took over the country. She is the daughter of King Riku. As princess she called herself Viola and as underling of DD she called herself Violet. And right now she changed back to helping the rebellion, thus betraying and breaking alliance and allegiance with DD. All the same person. | ||

I've been wondering, why has the sword never ever caused problems? Sure, Zoro called it a "problem child" at first, when it apparently had a lust for blood at Whiskey Peak. But it hasn't seemed to pose a problem since then. Undoubtedly, we'll hear more of the curse in the future, but in the mean time, I have my own idea about it. This comes from my observation of Chopper running around with the naked blade without getting hurt. If the sword is really cursed, why didn't Chopper have any problems with it? I think the curse has something to do with the user's intentions. For example, if the user has bloodlust, then the sword will turn on him and cut the user instead. This is just an example, not sure what else it could be. That would kind of go with Zoro, who isn't the kind of guy to enjoy killing people (rather, he sees it as a necessity, or something). This curse though, not sure what to make of it. It's so easy to forget because Zoro has never had a problem with it, but it's the kind of thing you just can't put aside. Also looking forward to a Hakuba vs Zoro match, if possible. | ||

No, he's just saying that it was she who insisted he should break the alliance (assumably) to spite King Riku (in essence how bad his daughter has become under Dofla's command). At the time she was on his side. It's only recently she switched. | ||
