Where this gets really interesting is in the case of the photon man - Kizaru - because photons are just electromagnetic waves. So Kidd or Enel could just tear any of Kizaru's attacks and indeed Kizaru himself to pieces. In conclusion this is a fun manga go luffy! :D:D:D:D:D | ||

The only explanation is that they convert small amounts of mass to energy. From this and from the fact that the EM force is merely the result of a more fundamental property of matter that we have yet to understand (theory of everything), we can conclude that both Enel and Kidd, and every other devil fruit user, actually has the power to completely manipulate space and time to their will, to the extent that even surpasses human comprehension. This includes all of the time it took the Straw Hats to sail to Water 7, get in deep shit, attack Enies Lobby and defeat CP9. So yeah, it's just an over glorified blimp. | ||

Technically they all seem to be speaking a common tongue, not necessarily japanese, in the OP universe. The human-human fruit may come bundled with an understanding of the common tongue, however I'm pretty sure the maxim didn't eat any devil fruits to be able to fly in a vacuum. ^^ | ||
