If you want more explanation it seems like Queen is a biologist who engineered viruses or has access to one who does, so he definitely has access to someone who has the IQ to be a general scientist and the biological knowledge to tamper with his body. On a side note I'm one chapter late, but while Chopper's powerup makes sense, I don't like how it effectively reduces his tactics. | ||

I'll just ask again, just to be sure: You are aware that OP is shonen, right? The target audience are early teens. Fantastical adventures with great chemistry don't have protagonists dying left right center either. If you want to read complex fight scenes I'd recommend world trigger or HxH. While I agree that this arc has too many characters and I would have liked to see more of Luffy vs Kaido and Marco vs headliners and especially more of Robin's and Brook's fight, OP's fights were always full of asspulls and half of them are just about Luffy getting pissed off enough to become serious and stomp his enemy. Then it switched to Luffy becoming the underdog and growing throughout the fight(s). The other fights have been comic relief more often than not. Like I couldn't name a "complex" fight in OP, not a single one. The characters are collectively too dumb to outsmart their enemies or doing something tactical. | ||
