Lmao that's exactly what I thought, I recently saw the DeathNote Trailer/Scene from Comicon. I have no idea how they will pull that off but I guess it kind of worked with Fantastic Four. Doesn't look like something we should be looking forward towards... Instead in the manga we have crazy chapters back to back.

There can be actual good live action films. Well at least film (singular). I really enjoyed Kenshin (except for one scene on the last fight that was a bit too much...).
But given the atmosphere of One Piece, really not sure that's a good idea anyway.

A spin off TV series could be really cool. Like a gritty show about the marines.

Even if the TV series is 100% faithfully adapted, One Piece is just not suited to Live Action IMO. Its not a samurai drama like Kenshin.

The amount of money it would take to make the cgi look good would not be worth it for any company to do though. Toei can't even maintain good quality for the Anime let alone doing real life cgi big production xD
