I'm wondering if the Vinsmokes hadn't seen this one coming. Clearly they weren't trusting of BM beforehand, but it seems they don't quite expect a full on betrayal? | ||

Ye I wondered that too. Yet no black background like usually for flashbacks, so I guess not. Reju could very well have been poking around, discovered some fishy things, get injured by some things/someone and go straight to Pudding to confirm or infirm suspicions while still wounded. On the other hand, I now wait for a full 3 way fight. It would feel so wrong to have Sanji and Luffy allied to Germa... Yet it feel unlikely that 3 way gonna happen. Other way to make it is to have the battle between Germa and Big Mom blowing up, Sanji allied to his family by necessity, getting their asses whooped, mama winning then Luffy finally escaping (thanks to Chopper and Carrot most likely, seeing him and nami through a mirror), and Luffy carrying the game against dimished mama (by her previous fight against sanji's father). | ||

Everything else progressed in order (defeat Brulee --> look for exit, meet Tamago --> fight Tamago, etc.). It would be strange to have this one flashback that isn't marked as such. It's still possible of course. But there's also the option that Reiju got injured, dragged herself through the palace and got caught by Pudding or something like that. | ||

It doesn't bother me too much, but "twat"? really?  I'll have to read the original once the raws pop-up. Also about her wounds, I thought page 18 has her blood on her legs. It doesn't seem like the slimy thing is producing the black liquid I think. Anyway I was ranting a bit earlier, but I still feel there is more to Pudding than this because the reveal was so comically written (telling her master plans to Reiju and Luffy, really?) and her being evil was painfully obvious (at least to me) that I feel Oda has more planned for her character. | ||

And that was brutal even from someone who expected Pudding to be more than she appeared. That teary good-bye which turned out to be her laughing to the point of being teary-eyed... A few (far fetched) possibilities going forward: - Pudding is actually "good", and this is her way to set up a rift between the Vinsmoke and Big Mom to help Sanji - Pudding is even more evil than we think, and this is her way to set up a rift between the Vinsmoke and Big Mom, so she can overthrow Big Mom. - Sanji kicks Pudding to save his sister. - Capone comes out of nowhere to destroy all these puny schemers | ||
