I prefer the term Sanji doubter, I don't hate Sanji I just doubt his strength. For example I also think Luffy needs to get stronger too as he should stand no chance vs a Yonko. We haven't met a Yonko, but Cracker a Yonko commander is giving Luffy a lot of trouble and DD barely lost to Luffy both of these characters Luffy is fighting/beat rate a Yonko much higher than themselves. It's the same with Sanji. Even if I were to say Sanji was at in advantage when his fight with Vergo ended it was Sanji using the strongest moves that we know he has Diable Jambe and it wasn't enough to end the fight. On the other hand we know Vergo wasn't giving it all that fight when Vergo goes full clad haki vs Law nor did Vergo use his bamboo stick. Same with DD which was definitely a fight which ended with Sanji at a disadvantage we know DD wasn't going all out there. Sanji either needs to reveal something really good he's been holding back or get a power up. From a story construction perspective I can see Oda holding back Sanji's full power for a "year of Sanji" arc, but I don't see why Sanji as a character would hold back vs DD when trying to protect Nami. | ||

sanji didn't have one true fight with his brothers, i wouldn't make a conclusion out of what we saw yet also some big revelation about vegapunk's past | ||

I bet he could have taken his old man too if he hadn't got surprised/disgusted by his tactics. | ||

Diablo Jambe, people have speculated that it's his haki or this and that. Is it just his genetic modifications? Like his one brother seems to have some lightning powers, what if Sanji's exoskeleton developed later and he subconsciously uses it to create his Diablo Jambe attacks? What do you guys think? I mean Luffy creates fire with presumably haki for red hawk, so the haki theory can still hold true but this just kind of makes more sense to me now given recent information. | ||

Also, in terms of hard science, one piece has none. Keep in mind that in this manga a starfish became a talking, self aware, bipedal humanoid just because it thought it was a person. | ||
