I think Sentenal is correct, he managed to catch up with his lack of natural strenght on the baratie, as a pirate and as a travestite student.

Sanji's mother might have been real but I still think he and his siblings were grown in tubes only because it would be super ironic considering their superiority complexes and general disregard for other clones' lives.

Probably a much higher percentage of them have turned out good. Perona became ally, Hancock fell in love, Violet was convinced, Rebecca got beaten, Robin and Vivi were villains even Nami betrayed Luffy. Speaking of which, I believe Sanji had a mother but he was injected with genes when he was in the womb. Same I was thinking they all had different moms and are genetic variations of a super soldier or the dad. I'm sure all of Sanji's strength up until now have been solely through his hard work, but I wouldn't be surprised if he unlocks some hidden potential this arc related to his genes. Sanji I still argue looks weak so I expected a power up this arc, a secret from his true origin would be a good reason.

I didn't even realize there is potential for Sanji to get some genetic powerup. I mean the series has showed that drugs ain't gonna make you achieve greatness... I don't see this arc changing that parable. It would be way too shounen for someone or something to "unlock his potential", I hope Oda doesn't have that planned.
