This reminds me a lot of the flashback chapters for Gin... a lot of nice backstory, right before Aizen instakilled him.

I really enjoyed these three weeks worth of chapters about characters I totally give a shit about and who will totally still be relevant in a couple months.
I can't wait for the return to the even more exciting 'running and talking.'
Ok yeah, he tried to piece together some semblance of an actual story here. There's just zero reason to give even a single fuck about these guys.
He's probably gonna throw it all to shit by the one dude 'taking back' the power that Bazz 'cultivated' and then use it against Yhwach as some silly 'via your sacrifice, we will have our revenge together' scheme.
Which is just super subtle foreshadowing for Aizen to have been a good guy this whole time, because everything is about Aizen.

the idea is that although he cant make a bow, hes actually really really badass and can just basically tank/dodge any attack and then cut people with his sword

Zaraki got outclassed so hard... This is the bleach I missed. Fights not so much comparing power levels as much as seeing power interactions, technicalities, sprinkled with character personality.

I really don't like the fact that every character is overpowered in some absurd way. I feel like there's no more actual fighting, it's just explaining powers and explaining how to counter them lol.
