well Aizen did basically wipe out the squads without them coming down, and the Hollows have access to the Garganta while Aizen has no innate teleport power

actually IIRC Gin opened the senkaimon or whatever the soul reapers portal is, and it doesnt seem as useless as the garganta, just for basic travel between SS and human realm

Kaname went through hollowfication though. Gin and Aizen never sacrificed themselves to do that. They remained normal shinigami.

you've missed the point: the point is - why can't the shinigami in SS just create a senkaimon to the Soul King's palace when Grimmjow is able to use a garganta. Does this imply that the senkaimon is an inferior transport mechanism to the garganta and/or requires more power/reishi to create than a garganta? Why do arrancar have this OP ability?

because the senkaimon was made only for access between SS and human realm, its a pre-existing tunnel that was made with only that purpose
but the Garganta was made to allow the hollows to access any space connected to Hueco mundo which is basically everywhere since hueco mundo exists in a space between dimensions
thats why Urahara had to spend so much effort getting into Hueco Mundo in the first place
