i remember seeing 'Hard candy' and thought that it wasnt all that great or compelling, but then until the end when it had a surprise/twist ending.. I also seen her in 'Whip it' just because I knew she was in it.. Ya, maybe it was a chick-flick but still a pretty good watch. Maybe not something spectacular, but good. thinking of watching 'The hurt locker' and 'up n the air' beacuse I heard they were good. I liked Ip man 1 a lot more.. Not just because of the story but the fighting scenes were way better. I mean seriously, how can you top this? I also thought the ending bit of Ip Man 2 was retarded. + Show Spoiler + A boxer with gloves vs. a wing chun master not allowed to use kicks? Seriously? And it wasn't just the fighting scene that was bad; all the white actors in the film were just horrible. There were some really cheesy lines, and the superior attitude just seemed way too obnoxious and forced.. Although it was very cool that they showed bruce lee as a kid at the very ending. Seriously one of the most moving and beautiful films I've seen in a while.. What's even more amazing is that it's based off a true story. I don't really want to spoil much about the movie because I was pleasantly surprised when I first watched it so I'll just urge all of you to watch it now. If you enjoyed Departures (which seemed to be pretty popular in this thread), you'll probably enjoy this. | ||
