Just thought I should mention that they are pretty close to how they are described in the books.

can't believe this thread turned into a debate over the standard description for an imaginary creature lol

That's how they are portrayed in the Card Game.

I'm kinda hoping they are able to CGI them to represent how big they actually are in Season 2 (or any way of representing their true size if there's an alternative to CGI)

There probably is legitimate distinction between the class' of these....mythical lizards but it's not like the difference between wyvern and dragon is game changing right?. + Show Spoiler +

Wyverns appear in European mythology and are considere European dragons anyway.

That final episode gave me more nerd chills than Artosis! After the huge expectations I had built up over the years from the books, I just couldn't help but burst into a grin upon seeing the dragons!!!!
|
The moment I saw the eggs,I knew sometime some dragons would pop out of em. That's the least of the surprises. What gripped me was the death of Kal and her baby. Oww aw,and the death of Stark.

Not necessarily true at all imho, the endings to Fight Club and Watchmen in the film adaptations were both better for example.
On topic though, even though there were only a few twists that surprised me truly this has seriously been one of the best shows i have watched in a while, pity shaun bean is out now though

He didn't phrase it right.
What he should have said is that books are a superior medium, in that they always have the ability to far surpass any visual interpretation of a story. That doesn't mean that a movie based on some random book is going to be worse than the book, particularly when changes are introduced, but the fact remains that TV shows and movies have a *much* lower ceiling in what can be done.

Standard dragon is 4 legs and 2 wings, then you get drakes and wyverns and wyrms and all that jazz that are deviations on that. Although wyrm is just a slang for any dragon in some stuff... + Show Spoiler +There's no "standard"dragon. Depending on who you ask you'll get wildly different depictions of dragons. For example the chinese dragon doesn't even have wings. Just because its in the monster manual doesn't mean its the definitive dragon. Edit: I can't believe we're having this argument.
Because people are ignorant doesn't mean their ignorant opinions hold weight. Ask the average moron what evolution via natural selection is, you'd get something so wildly stupid and ignorant you'll instantly become a misanthrope.
I do, however, agree that it's an absurd point to complain about, regardless.

Rofl, it's so crazy looking at them all like that, especially Robert.

Such a good last episode. The most painful thing is the 9/10 month wait until it picks up again. Thankfully I will be on exchange to Korea next year so it will probably not be on my mind until I come home and the season will be pleasantly wrapped up ready to watch.
I get to go on exchange to Korea and I'm thinking about how great it will be when I get home. Game of Thrones messing with mah head.

Is that from an article or something? I'd read it.
