Joffrey has a track record of killing people for petty reasons, so I'm not surprised if he'll go "off with her head" on her just to spite Tyrion.
Edit: Or even worse, do a repeat of what Tywin did in Tyrions story. Yuck. I'm more worried about Tyrion himself. Joffrey is probably gonna remember episode 2 slap-fest. Yeah that's why I was worried for his GF, he can't physically harm Tyrion for obvious reasons so he'll take his frustration on Tyrions loved ones to try and break him down mentally. What are you talking about? What loved ones? Shay/Shae, his prostitute/girlfriend. she's a prostitute I think you should not overrate her And you should not underrate her His father forbid him to take her to kings landing...yet he seems to take her with him. He is ignoring a order by the men he fears the most.I dont think he ever did something like that before. So she seems to be more to him than "just a prostitute". Especially i you consider littlefinger being able to supply him enough of those kind of ladys at kings landing Oh my dear naive nerdies :> It is nothing more than the path of least resistance. She's already there and he likes the whore. He does not love her because he is defying his father. She is just a whore, its too early to draw conclusions on such things. He as good as said that she will be useful to him at court. How is going against the rule of his father who is also the most powerful man in the 7 kingdoms the path of least resistance? He's "the most powerful man in the Seven Kingdoms," debatably.
Also, his father told him not to bring a whore.
She isn't going to be "a whore" in king's landing. It was as if they had said "*wink wink*" at the end of their conversation.
Get it now? I thought the conversation they had made that pretty obvious.

I read all the books ( some years ago, but still) and it was not that obvious. Zhe spoilers man! Please don't.
|
It's not a spoiler if it was in the show, I haven't even started Book 2 yet. I just assumed it logically followed there would be some deception involved from the conversation they had in the show.
She argues with him that "who will know I am a whore? I am not going to be prancing around with my tits hanging out" or something along those lines. Has nothing to do with the books.

As always with this show I am seriously left craving more, which of course means this show is awesome.
By the way, earlier in this thread, some asshole said "I can't wait to see what the dragons look like when they hatch!".
I took that with a grain of salt, but because of that post I always suspected they would in fact hatch, and I don't think I would have otherwise.
GGTeMpLaR that sort of is a spoiler... definitely a very small one though. What you are doing is saying "She's going to play a substantial role in the series". Some other assholes already did that in this thread though, so I already knew that. Their spoiler was worse than yours.

I mean I haven't read the book so I have no idea if she will play a major role, I am assuming she will at least be in one episode of Season 2 based on what we saw in the last episode of Season 1, you can infer she will go with Tyrion to King's Landing, because he definitely looked like he was going to take her in that episode's conversation.
I didn't think making assumptions/predictions based on episodes we have seen counted as "spoilers".
That's like me saying "Oh we will see some dragons in Season 2" or "Oh I bet Tyrion goes to King's Landing" is a spoiler =/

How's it a spoiler if he doesn't know what's coming?
|
Oh my bad, I guess I just assumed you did since someone else already spoiled similar things because of their knowledge of the books.
It seemed like you were releasing "secret information" with the *wink wink*, lol
my apologies

Oh no lol, sorry I guess that was a bit misleading. All I meant by the *wink wink* was because it seemed from their conversation in the show that they were going to pretend she wasn't a whore to the court so he could take her and his father would never know and no one else in the court knew she was a whore.
Like this: If no one knows you're a whore, then are you really a whore? *wink wink*
It seemed like that was what they were going for in the show.
I edited my post a little to avoid the confusion.

im so sad to find out it was 10 episodes in the first season... went looking for episode 11 today and QQ'ed. Between game of thrones and walking dead, i find little else in TV as gripping and interesting.

btw: the pic reminds me, that Dany was bald after the fire in the books, forgot this completly. I guess the (American) viewership is not ready for bold women^^ (yeah, book spoiler ...) what tv show ever had the full series done before starting it? every show has seasons. And its would be hard for them to complete the show seeing as the books arnt done even
he means watching shows that have come out already like i am watching the tudors on netflix now and its nice not waitng

That hardly makes it better.

I think some people were dissappointed with episode 10 because..
.. episode 9 was overwhelming. Rarely have I been left more baffled about a tv show then the last minutes of episode 9. People were expecting this to exceeded in episode 10. While I wasnt left baffled in the same maner I am evenly impressed with episode 10 and the ending was definetly fitting and worthy of the series.
.. there was no wrap-up .. typically tv shows wraps up at the end of a season by solving the lose ends and put main story lines to a standpoint that the viewer is comfortable with. Also representing a couple of twists in the end leaving the viewer craving more. This wasnt quite the case.
.. knowing that there is about 9 months till the next season airs one feels a bit empty inside. WANT. MORE. NAAUWW.
I havent read a book in over 10 years, not really something I enjoy somehow, but I really consider these books to be the ones that breaks this record. It would spoil me for season 2 though. Such a hard decision to make ...

Episode 10 was good but didn't feel like a finale. More like another generic episode that just introduces more characters and furthers the plot.
