Kishi messes up timelines, but read this if you want, but it's already been established that he was working for both the Akatsuki and the Anbu. He was in fact 11 when he first fought Orochimaru.

Yagura. He controlled the fourth Mizukage (Not Mei, she's the fifth) which turned the village into the "blood mist," village due to the graduation ritual.
On a guess that was to weaken the village's strength but nevertheless Yagura was controlled by Tobi/Obito.

I could see something like him warping himself to his dimension when he was on the brink of death and spending years in there not knowing how to get out cause he doesn't know how to activate the jutsu again. Him being alone for so long twists him into what he is now. He's like Naruto in that respect but instead of beating solitude it consumed him.

Nope. Itachi was affiliated with Akatsuki at age 11, and didn't fully join until after the Massacre. But his scuffle with Oro was when he was 11, everyone knows that in the narutoforums. Also here is a paragraph from the Akatsuki in naruto wiki

Also, just read all the math posts on his age. Everyone agrees that he was indeed 11 when he first became affiliated with Akatsuki. It't not even disputed anymore on the narutofrums, simply because all the math has been given.

No he didn't say that during their fight...did you not read the link I gave you of when they fought?
Everyone on the narutoforums agrees that he was 11 during the encounter I linked, based off of many facts, it's not even disputed. I hope you at least read the thread that explains it all. But he was affiliated at 11, no dispution on any manga/naruto forum, only one so far that disputes it, seems to be you on the TL forum :/
