EDIT : And yes, you can make a teen-friendly story that is still amazing. You don't need blood, gore and tits to make Naruto an amazing manga. The whole Jump excuse doesn't work for me. In other words, the author ran out of good ideas, therefore resorted to more and more ridiculous crap. Which is quite understandable (but not ideal) considering the series has gone on for 588 chapters. The mangaka is also on a tight deadline to think about ideas and draw the series. Basically, he can't keep up with his series.
There is always the possiblity to take a week off to think of new ideas. Or the possiblity of thinking of a good ending, if you are tired of thinking of new ideas.

Also, 1 idea can take several months to go through. To be honest, coming up with the main storyline should be relatively simple for him. The abilities went out of control a long time ago and there's nothing he can do anymore. Those are a bit hard to balance out but he did a pretty poor job of it.

he pretty much stated back during the time skip that he's run out of ideas for Naruto.
I still enjoy Naruto though, even if he's screwed up...here and there. Hey, at least it's not like Bleach.

Yeah, the story was fantastic before the time skip. Shit should have just ended at the falls with Naruto beating Sasuke in an epic showdown. Snake vs Frog, Rasengan vs Chidori, Sharingan/Cursed Seal vs Nine-Tails. That was PLENTY of epic power ups for them to end the series with. Fucking greedy businessmen ruin everything. FUCKING GREED.
Would have had much fonder memories of the series then. By now, we could have had some nostalgia-project movie come out where Naruto's older, the Hokage, and he's got some pink-haired, whiskered son who's a teenager and ready to cause mischief and his name will be Sasuke, in honor of his old boyfriend, and the movie will be called Sasuke: Adventures of the Pink Stink. The villain will be the Nejis, who've started to go insane due to their children being twisted abominations from too much wincest, and the Konoha will enter this grand civil war, where we get to see all the old characters choose sides and kill each other off. Why couldn't that have happened?
Oh yeah, and Rock Lee's son should win in the end. Incidentally, his son will be pink-haired too, and he'll have grown up ostracized and societally pressured by all the people who wink at him and make sly comments about his bastard heritage. He'll have his own spinoff series Glock Lee: The Pink Smoking Gun.

Why switch to a new series when you're earning a fortune out of your old, crappy one? Very very few mangakas will wrap up their story with a natural conclusion.

They should just cancel Naruto and remake the series as Rock Lee: The Legend Continues. #1- That post made me rofl. #2- The only thing Naruto truly inherited was the Uzumaki stamina. The Namikaze clan doesn't have some special power that can be passed down i think. The real problem here is Sasuke, who only uses and will probably continue using only his eyes in like every fight. To be fair, Naruto also "inherited" the 9-tailed fox and its subsequent huge amounts of chakra. Still I woulnd't really call him spoiled as he carried a huge burden along with it, and has worked his ass off to learn most of his techniques like rasengan, sage mode, and... er yeah. That's like saying an 8 yr old has a really tough time driving the Maserati his parents left him and all the other kids hated him because he has such a sexy car, so he had to work his ass off learning how to drive it and we should all look up to him as a hero for doing so. Think about it. How many other kids even got the CHANCE to try to control the fox demon? How many other kids got one of the legendary Sannin as their teacher? How many kids inherited the genetics of the Uzumaki clan and got to say they were the son of Minato? Just coz Gaara likes to QQ about his babysitter trying to kill him instead of sleep with him, and Naruto's all weepy because nobody would push him on the swingset doesn't mean he had some horrible life. There are plenty of kids who get ostracized just for being fat. You think Chouji had an easy time of it? He got shitted on every time he opened a bag of BBQ chips. He has to take performance enhancing drugs just to get attention. He has to endure the pain of swelling up to the size of a whale-sized meatball and then roll over all kinds of random shit. Who knows how much dog poop he's rolled in while fighting? Naruto had such a ridiculously baller inheritance that nobody told him about it until he was older for the simple fact that telling him when he was younger would have turned him into a ridiculously self-entitled brat. It's the fantasy equivalent of being Tony Stark but not being told until you turned 16. Sorry, I just have a lot of trouble seeing how that's a hard life. Nothing about Naruto's struggle is harder than what any of the other kids had to go through. The only difference is at the end of Naruto's hard work is god-like power and the adulation of all. At the end of Rock Lee's hard work is a body full of broken bones, a vastly shortened lifespan due to opening gates, and soul-crushing alcoholism. p.s. lol glad i made someone laugh Cush :D Well we can hypothesize all we want about who suffered the most and who has more merit, but a pillar of Naruto's manga is about the spirit / mental strength of this little kid who was born with a huge burden and powerful force. It is implied that any average ninja would've crumbled to the sheer social pressure he had to undergo. So everyone's recognition of Naruto as a hero is so much for his accomplishments due to his power as it is due to his unusual strong will.
My vote for suffering probably goes to Hinata. Imagine spending your whole life with a father who hates you and doesn't even care about you, being regarded as a disgrace to your clan and being ignored by the one you love. That must really have sucked hard.

I know - it's hard being a successful mangaka, much less a rich successful mangaka. I'm just saying that it's clear that it's clear that he's been winging it ever since the timejump (and even before), compared to, say, One Piece.

I'm not trying to convince anyone else, but I, for one, enjoy Naruto even now. I think the pacing has been a bit off since the character explosion of starting infinity fights with resurrected characters, but I'm OK with that. I still think the Pain saga and the Sasuke/Itachi fight are in the top 5 of best moments in the manga and those are both post time-jump.
I don't look to Naruto to be some deep, rich, multi-layered story. I read it for the popcorn effect. I read it to watch ever more impressive fights with ever more ridiculous abilities. I like it when it veers into other areas of drama as well. I like the characters and the universe, so I'm willing to ride it out til whenever. I feel like many mangas have trouble controlling power creep at the end of combat-oriented series.
So I still enjoy it, but it appears that may put me in a minority. Haha.

Do you enjoy it a lot more than you used to? Would you deny that it was way better before the time-skip? I don't dislike Naruto now, but it has that effect of pissing people off when they used to enjoy it and now see it crumbling away (see Bleach)

So what do you guys think will happen in the coming chapters? Do you think Itachi will stop the Edo Tensei? If he does stop it that means Edo Tensei Madara will be gone and yet again none of the Kages die lol. So here is the theory i'm going with.
We saw in chapter 588 that Sasuke was getting a little pissy with Itachi over Kabuto and Itachi says that he has no more ties to the living world. So what i think will happen and you guys might have thought about it to, Sasuke WILL KILL KABUTO before Itachi releases Edo Tensei!! :O Why would Sasuke do this you are probably asking yourself? Well i think for one thing Sasuke doesn't want to lose his brother again and he might think that Kabuto doesn't deserve to be left alive?
So after Kabuto is dead and the Edo Tensei can NEVER be released what will happen to all the "zombie" ninja? We all know that a deep emotional connection will break the jutsu and release the shinobi's soul. Or they can be sealed! And the best part! Edo Tensei Madara will be even more UNSTOPPABLE!! and we might see one of the five Kage die! And i don't know about you guys but i want to see Madara meet Tobi!! holy shit!.
I think this theory sets us up for a lot more action and drama to come!
your thoughts <3

your thoughts <3 Ok,
If Sasuke for some reason (Which would never happen btw) kills Kabuto before the Edo Tensei is stopped, Itachi will probaly severely berate him in some way. and go off to fight Madara or Tobi.
And you also said that Sasuke will kill Kabuto because he shouldn't be left alive, but Itachi said that after the Jutsu wears off, he will kill him personally, so that doesn't make much sense.
Finally, some Kage will die, my prediction being Onoki and Tsunade, but I dont think all of them will die. The Mizukage and the Kazekage are young and have some potential.

I think Tsunade dying is a given, how else is Naruto gonna become Hokage after this mess is over. Also agree on the Mizukage and the Kazekage being too young to alrdy be killed off and replaced by no names.

Edo Tensei Madara will be even more UNSTOPPABLE!! and we might see one of the five Kage die! And i don't know about you guys but i want to see Madara meet Tobi!! holy shit!.
I think this theory sets us up for a lot more action and drama to come!
your thoughts <3 Ok, If Sasuke for some reason (Which would never happen btw) kills Kabuto before the Edo Tensei is stopped, Itachi will probaly severely berate him in some way. and go off to fight Madara or Tobi.
I dunno just to have the Edo Tensei end and all the resurrected ninja just disappear and the war end, pretty shit endig if you ask me. I really dout that is going to happen. we haven't seen all of the storys, like Sunade meeting her lover dan and so on. For all those ninja just to vanish seems like a waste of time.

I think Tsunade dying is a given, how else is Naruto gonna become Hokage after this mess is over. Also agree on the Mizukage and the Kazekage being too young to alrdy be killed off and replaced by no names. she can just step back and give naruto hokage position because he carries the "will of hokage" or something
But I reckon she would die too, since orochimaru and Jiraiya are both dead
