I would assume that the ninja war included attacks on logistics and food supply. That is, operations that would impact people outside the actual villages as well.

The "ninja" in the naruto world are just regular soldiers with dbz powers. They're not like real life ninja that we grew up thinking of.

Also, why their level of sharingan can't see the attack coming is a bit beyond me, but whatever.
I'd really like to go back to the Madara fight though, they left that on a total "how the hell are they going to win" situation it's not even funny.

It's a pretty big problem. This fight could have been done right from the start by Itachi pointing at him (no, he doesn't need you to be staring at his finger), but no reason has been put in place as to why it wouldn't work.
And yes, I know they left it hanging on purpose to build up tension, but it's problematic when you have so many huge things going on.

because his genjutsu when only using his finger was so shitty Naruto almost escaped from it it would take Kabuto 10 seconds to escape even assuming its strong enough to actually even work on him
Genjutsus arent instant win, Sasuke wasnt able to actually trap Danzo in a legit genjutsu all he could do was make him tink he had one more charge then he did

So he's in a time loop now? How the hell are they going to explain this one? Just cut it out with the BS no jutsu already! At this rate, the only way I'd be satisfied with this series is if they find a way to forever remove the Sharingan powers and have the Uchihas get beat up by everybody for five straight issues.
