i don't think the edo tensi was as much of a resurrection jutsu as a body clone with the personality being stuck to it.
half the guys there probably had their bodies decay and all the jutsu required was DNA so its probable that their original body gets reconstructed from the edo tensi.
this way sasuke and itachi can literally have the same eyes because itachis should be clones of his old eyes(which were originally someone elses?)

still putting all my eggs in the ultimate naruto form with frog mode + tailed beast mode (so he has yellow + red + green eyes with a plus sign lol) since the fox won't refuse the nature energy anymore. With that naruto should be about as invincible as it gets

Also the way Shikamaru tricked him proves that you can use stored blood.And even if that's exactly the maximum amount of time they can store the blood (which is highly unlikely) it's still enough time for someone to poke the enemy and bring him the sample.

im too lazy to really look hard into it right now, but im pretty sure that its explained that while hes shadow possesing someone any damage they take he takes just like Inos jutsu
