Meh, you're too spoilt with heroic heroes and stuff. Look at Reiner's mom, it's not about being brainwashed, it's about her projecting on her sons the things she couldn't have, incuding being separated from her lover because of her status. You could lament her for her lot, you could call her a bad guy for inconsciously pushing it onto her son like that, but in the end she's just human. I like that the manga remembers that most of a population is made up of people like this and not big damn heroes.
And I'm pretty sure that Reiner was trying to come up with excuses to demonise the Eldians and depict what happened to him as hell, because seeing how his people are being treated here, the constant fighting on the frontlines for 4 years, etc. it'd be easy for him to think that he was happier while he was in the barracks with all the others. So to keep his resolve he's trying to convince himself that they were truly evil.

I really like where this story is going, i think the author could have easily screw this up, but somehow got it together and made it even better!
Great great manga.. and Anime

I still have some questions: -How do you know it's Africa and Madagascar? -Who is the rock-throwing titan? (Beast titan I think?)
I'm quite bad with names and faces, so in a manga it's even worse

Here's one of the images from the manga (upside down). + Show Spoiler +
Also, rather boring chapter. It's nice to know Reiner's backstory but I feel like there were no big reveals since we kind of knew that he was a brainwashed fuckup and his Mom isn't all that interesting.

Oh nice, I didn't get that at all!

I think that this was an interesting chapter. It shows the conditions and culture that the Eldians in Marley live under much better. It shows that the Marley military has long standing titan technology and cultural system for weaponising Eldians as titans under their warrior system under which they were able to undertake their colonisation and conquests.

Maybe they really were a plague on the world and the king saw imprisoning and erasing everyones' memories as the only way.
weve seen enough to know that the Marleys are all dicks and there is plenty of war thats being fueled by technology which is why the kind segregated everyone and supressed technology

I am not saying the Marleys are not dicks or that they would be justified in doing what they are doing even if their history is correct. I just think it would be a cool twist.

Latest chapter was pretty good.
I love how Marley spies on the warriors and constantly demands showcases of loyalty. I mean it makes a hell of a lot of sense seeing as how these select few are basically their entire military. Also, the last titan has been confirmed and it cannot fly.

Yeah, I wanna see this war hammer titan. And why it's never made an appearance.
|
What I still don't get is how Eren activated the Coordinate Titan ability on his father's first wife Titan form. Thought you needed Fritz in your blood.
Also, Zeke has the ability to have Titans walk at night, transform on command, and basically hold position/stand down at his will? I know he has Fritz in him, but sounds like Zeke has more Coordinate Titan abilities than Eren.
|
It's probably the titan's abilitu. They stated the female titan can coordinate low range

Nah you forgot Eren's father, remember how his father ate the fritz family titan(female king woman)? Thats how he got part of that, then Eren ate his father inheriting his fathers titan and the one his father ate from fritz royalty - I picture this as 2 hybrid titan but lacked the blood to unlock both sides)
Then i guess he couldnt use it because he was lacking the royal blood, which changed when he made contact with the Royalty Titan with said punch.

here's apparently another picture of the war hammer titan from one of the other chapters + Show Spoiler +

not really sure what the horse is in this one though

I forgotten that Eren made physical contant with his father's first wife when he used Coordinate. Seems like its possible, he could bring Historia when in battle, and just have her cling to his back during battle then maybe?

So for like zeke when he was boy he was playing with the monkey doll and he took the shape of a monkey beast. Plus in the opening of season 2, you can see a ton of animals running with the beast titan all with a special red glowing heart. So maybe its hinting at the other forms that it can take. (tho a whale titan would be interesting).
Also falco is kinda like falcon so what if he inherits the beast titan and turns into a flying titan.
