Just finished the episode in the OP. So incredibly bizzare. It just seems like another kids show to me. From my viewpoint it has very rudimentary moral themes, childish diologue, very little thought provoking content, and I really don't get the appeal to the very young feminine looking art style and character base for older males. It seems great as a childs show, and something I might enjoy at 6-10. I would understand it more if the story was that it somehow appealed to young males more than young females or something, but the unexpected audience age group simply astounds me. That's just my opinion though, and I've only seen one episode. This is just another one of those things that I don't think I'll ever understand. I'll leave, not trying to derail the thread or anything, this phenomenon just intrigued me. Please note that I mean no offense. | ||

Real success isn't an absence of flaws, but using your strengths. If you can give your audience a reason to look the other way, they will. The question simply becomes "If not those, then what?" How do you think being "feminine" affects it? This is just another one of those things that I don't think I'll ever understand. Everything can be understood. In regards to any sort of other fics, I don`t really have anything. I'm still fairly new in terms of reading fanfics. BGPony being my only real major one to be reading / following. I have read most of "Journey to my imagination" but it's one of the earlier ones that could almost qualify as HiE. Not really as the human becomes a pony... But the writing is mediocre, the idea pretty good so overall it's pretty meh. However, on the note of SS&E he wrote a ridiculously long blog. http://www.fimfiction.net/blog/54360 regarding himself, Anno Domini, a writer name Chromosome and I Met a Pony in Hell. Anno Domini was amazing. I plan on reading I Met a Pony in Hell. Also supposedly Chromosome's other works like WhiteBox is really good. I have to go read that someday. | ||
