Eddings copy&pasted a lot including the heroes journey and the chosen one tropes. Definitely strong Isekai vibes, even comes with a short hot tempered redhead.
But they are pretty fun to read and while many of the characters are tropes they are at least fun versions of them.
To be fair it's mostly the world building that is absolutely horrible (especially funny how every kingdom is just full of caricatures).
