This seems so weird to me. Fairy Tail, before power-up/slash training, managed to take down several members of the strongest Dark Guild. Now, they're losing to some people who look like they can't even compare with the fat guy from Grimoire Heart. And I know what people are going to say: the type of game had a lot to do with it! Well consider this, the fairies barely used their magic. Gray used it once to attack the guy from raven tail. Juvia didn't use it at all. No effort to make a shield of ice or turn your body into water to avoid physical damage? What the hell was going on! | ||

Also what was with Gajeel wanting Lucy to dance in a bunny outfit for his "anything". I thought he was into Levy? | ||

The arcs are rather straight forward: bad guys show up, do evil things, get asses handed to them, repeat from step 1. The power levels are rather OP-esque, so no goku SSJ3 destorying planets while exhaling breaths. Characters and skills(magic) are diverse but a lot of them don't have much of a background. Overall I think you'll like it, but by the time you catch up to the recent chapters, you'll become bored of the manga. | ||

In short Fairy tail is a watered down One Piece clone about magic instead of pirates and the plot suffers the sindrom of shounen mediocrity.The author will throw every shounen cliche in the book at you. I still read it but If i rate One Piece as 10 then Fairy Tail is more of like 6-7. Still worth the read if you like OP and shounen in general. | ||
