gildartz was nowhere close to beating acnologia, and as we are led to believe, several of the alvarez guys are capable of beating him. (which is kind of a plothole imo,because I kind of have the feeling that zeref is not 100% sure he can do it himself, and it makes 0 sense that his subordinates could possibly be stronger than zeref who is immortal.) Also, I'm really not satisfied how much info or attention at all is given to that Rakheid Dragneel guy. Who is he? It doesn't make sense to have a Dragneel, because natsu, the only dragneel left travelled time to get to where he is now. The lineage (if any was ever present) should've been dead at that point, because obviously Zeref didn't poke any females during his time around. | ||

As for Gildartz, well he already was top tier and he has been gone for a long time so its not that much of a stretch to say he improved his power during that time to somewhat match the power ups of the other FT members over the years. | ||

also rakheid being able to do it under certain circumstances still counts. I would be extremely disappointed if gildartz just showed up and his power level would be enough to rape everyone. from the little peeks we got from his journey, all he did was drink around and hit on villager chicks. | ||

I do think resurrecting the bad guys just to have them inevitably get curb-stomped in a few panels while something more important happens is kinda worthless. | ||

HOLY SHIT I`M PUMPED AS FUCK. + Show Spoiler + thinking logically for a second though - by the way the enemies were presented, gildartz shouldn`t stand a chance, though I`ll be happy if he does some insane stuff, I`ve been waiting to actually SEE gildarts go all out ever since I`ve first seen him. The bluenote fight was so short and skipped so much stuff..  | ||
