C'mon it's pretty DBZish right there. They sold us the Face thingy as the end of the world as we know it, the Demon god as a demon that would destroy the entire universe and it god OHKO, and now they just got on a boat, travel some and bam, one country where a shmump easily owned the best of FT for him to be anihilated in an instant by some scary monster. That's really fucked up in term of power level imho.
But heh, not like I watch FT for the meaningful story or whatever, it's my typical shonen of the week, that's it
To be fair, that wasn't really a "god" just because those idiots thought it was. They were pretty incompetent all over. Face WAS the end of all magic as we know it, and it was a weapon that country had to protect itself.

Natsu just got huge powerup too you cant give the MC a huge powerup then be like "ya but he gonna need another one to fight peepz"
So basically if the FT guys manage to beat those 12 guys they will be considered stronger than the 1st saint wizard ? I guess the manga is going to be finished soon

Final boss does seem to be Zeref.

i think 2 more arcs they fight through all this crap then zeref ends up leaving with Acnologia and they have to chase him to stop everything
Yeah, I thought the alvarez arc would be a new arc before the showdown with zeref, but it's clear now it's connected so can be considered like one final super arc and the manga ending after they defeat zeref.

Anime reached the point where they are going to fight Tartaros 1v1 many times. I hope they'll animate the scenes with the feelings well. (Wendy and Charle saying goodbye to each other before their "death", Aquarius' end, Juvia ultimatively ending Silver's life)
