But more Erza plz :3 Yes, I believe Warrod Sequin made that comment during the Sun Village arc. He was talking about how he wasn't a very strong wizard compared to the rest of the world, despite being a Saint Wizard.

I also think its a bit silly what the implications are. I mean I get the fact that their country is small but still the top 4 godly mages from that country aren't that strong compared to the rest of the world? I am all for a big fish in small pond moving on and realizing the bigger picture but even a small country like theirs should still be able to produce mages who are relevant on the world stage (I mean they do only have those 4 who are supposed to be super high over the rest of the saints). I don't know if he was just playing down his own powers but him going to that degree makes it seem like he would just be a mid-teir wizard anywhere else in the world but hes still so far ahead of everyone else in Fiore. Edit: From this new chapter and going back over some of the previous stuff it seems like the implications aren't as strong as I thought and that the Wizards in Fiore would be more balanced power wise compared to other countries (more like just size differences).

That statement makes me think "why is Zeref bothering to wait for Natsu to get strong enough to kill him when there are apparently boatloads of super powerful people much stronger then any character we have seen?" Also cute Erza pic in that page (yes I am a huge Erza fanboy).

Also cute Erza pic in that page (yes I am a huge Erza fanboy). he cant even kill himself and i dont think there are any mages stronger then him he made Natsu because he gave up on any normal person ever becoming strong enough, and i dont think there are boatloads of people more powerful then gildartz/erza/mira just boatloads of power mages that can still face them 1v1 on the same level

So when he says he is essentially a small fry in the greater context of the world it makes you think that there definitely are mages that are stronger then Zeref out there who could do the job instead of waiting for Natsu (who if Warrod is right is really fucking weak compared to mages in other countries). Well, that just makes the whole Natsu-Zeref plotline irrelevant lol.

The chapter said they didn't invade because the council had their 2 super OP toys as a deterrent (pretty much no one is going to do anything to you when you can threaten to destroy the entire worlds ability to perform magic or nuke them from orbit), now that those are disabled they are going to invade. This is why Markarov left in the 1st place and disbanded the guild.

Also I'm really surprised that the council was actually doing something useful with their magical super-weapons. I thought they were just a bunch of paranoid power hungry old guys.

I was kind of looking forward to zeref vs acnologia, and then zeref vs natsu and then natsu vs gray+FT and then the manga ending. What's happening now feels like an unneccessary step back. ![]()

It's a necessary step forward because I was sad ft was ending soon, but now there's new hope and I hope this alvarez arc is good and long and then we can do the zeref finale! ![]()
