what the fuck apparantly this place has had gareth, sander, alex morph, cosmic gate, pretty much everyone over the last few months. Man my google skills suck. Still need to figure out this 21+ bullshit though.
Chicago gets a lot of international DJs/producers. Its great. I've seen Above & Beyond, Super8 & Tab, Boom Jinx and Jaytech. I saw these people at Vision which is 21+ admission. There are also shows at Congress Theater which are 17+. Keep a look out for Spring Awakening in March. I know that event is 17+. Last year they had Benny Benassi (boring set), Second Sun, and Above & Beyond.
I have to reiterate this, never go to a Benny Benassi show, most boring electro house i have EVER heard. he didnt even play like any of his classics either.. dont know wtf was up.

LOL, just because you tend not to like most of the songs/trance songs posted in this thread doesn't mean you have to try and put it down. I don't like most of the crap you post but you certainly don't see me going around and posting that it's cheesy or whatever the case maybe huh? Like you said, it's an EDM thread and people post songs they like and listen to. Doesn't mean you have to like them or even freaking listen to them. So unless you have something proactive towards this thread, please keep it to yourself.
I love trance, it's just all this overproduced stuff that just focuses on the VOCALS these days is getting so generic and boring. Go listen to some Vibrasphere/Tritonal/Timewave that stuff is so mindblowing, real good trance.
Also, I didn't realize you weren't allowed to post opinions on a public forum, my bad.

I just wish people would dig deeper into electronic music. The commercial trance stuff is just scratching the surface, you can find some really incredible artists if you just take the time to look and research.

People have different taste. I've "dug" plenty around electronic music and so far euro trance is easily my favorite. So don't look down with it disdain and call it "cheesy". Not to mention there is plenty of good non-vocal trance these days and in this thread.
Anyone here going to see Solarstone tonight in LA or Paul Oakenfold this thursday in Costa Mesa? Also decaf, are you going to see Cosmic Gate in Indy on the 20th? I don't think the show is 21+.
