Gouryella of new no longer has tiesto. And yeah, ton of gouryella//ferry tracks, good stuff. Traclist is here: http://www.1001tracklists.com/tracklist/122823_gouryella-ferry-corsten-at-the-dream-stage-dreamstate-san-bernandino-nos-events-center-san-bernardino-united-states-2016-11-26.html
Ferry is playing a 3 hour extended set here this weekend that I'm super excited about., I'll let you know how it is There's rumors that Markus is doing an OTC here next month but hasn't officially been anounced, fingers crossed.
I skipped Oakenfold the last time he came to Austin. He is so hit and miss and has been for years. If I knew Oakenfold was going to spin like the above, I would pay some good money to go. I've heard/own most of the tracks you posted and the one you labelled as your favorite is probably mine as well out of the bunch.
Trance was just so different back then in the late 90s early 00s. Heck, depending on your taste the early 90s were better then the late 90s. I find the 90s and early 00s to be the best years for trance, though there are certainly plenty of great tracks since then as well. Just such a different feeling when one of those tracks pops on to me.
Yeah, the fact that he was booked for a set from the golden era of trance had me super excited, normally I feel the same way as you. He really delivered though. I know what you mean - me and my friends all went on huge classic trance kick listening to all the legendary sets from trance energy, gate crasher, essential mixes, etc. from 95-03. My buddy put up an awesome spotify playlist if you want me to send it to you. Between the richard durand ISOS classics, Paul Oakenfold, G&D classics, etc. I've been absolutely spoiled lately. Seems like trance is really making a push back towards the golden days which i love.
Just realized I never really did a dreamstate wrap up. Everyone was awesome but holy shit Richard Durand ISOS classics was easily the best set of the year for me. 2 hours of pure classic trance. Greece 2000, beautiful things, Just Be, Suburban Train, etc. and finished with the full 8 minute mix of Adagio for strings. First hour had a lot of old good prog trance and then the last half hour was just crazy. Richard was in tears, ran out into the crowd a couple times during the set, and was just having a blast on the decks. Crowd was loving it.

I've heard similar experiences about Dreamstate. Really makes me think about going next time.

Planning my cousin's bachelor party in vegas next month.
Good news: During the day is sander van doorn pool party. Apparently he's playing a lot more tech/trance these days so that should be awesome.
Bad news: During the night is like a who's who list of people I don't want to see: Lil Jon Burns (idk who this is but his soundcloud is garbage, how did he get booked at Omina?!) DJ mustard MakJ
Just garbage all around -_-

Had some friends see DJ mustard at ilesoniq and said he's good but they are more into house than trance so probably not your cup of tea

Yeah and I'm going with my cousin and friends who are more looking to just party so I wasn't really aiming for a trance night, just hoping to find someone more mainstream/housey that doesn't suck complete dick like kaskade or zedd who are both playing within a week of when I'm going

Looking forward to Markus on 1/27 as well myself. I haven't seen him really a couple years now. I keep skipping him for various reasons.
Not sure he is completely back to the sound I fell in love with, but I think he's close enough to finally attend a show; not to mention it's at my favorite club here in Austin.

MARKUS SCHULZ OPEN TO CLOSE FEB 18 YESSSSSSS all my hopes and dreams have come true. He just keeps getting better the longer he plays.
edit: holy shit it looks like he's playing an 8 hour set. edit 2: one of my friends is tight with adina and markus. We're getting a table next to the DJ booth. This is gonna be the best show ever.

How did the show end up? Not sure I'd want to sit to the side of the stage and all myself, though it would be an experience I couldn't pass up most likely.

Haven't posted here in ages. Also haven't been to a show in ages lol. Missed anjunabeats last week but I got tickets to ABGT 250 @ the gorge so I'm sure I'll catch them all there.
Saw deadmau5 last night, was really good. And his giant cube display is fucking incredible.

Went to Spring Awakening for the trance stage day...holy hell Duke you would have loved it. Started off with some local guys who did great (Kenneth Thomas is probably one of my favorite small local DJs, I think he's on Oakenfold's label). Went into Marlo who played a really solid set (opened with Rank 1 LED There be light which I had literally just listened to the day before and was like "man I wish I could hear this tomorrow).
Now on to the good stuff Armin filled in for Ben Nicky who had to cancel (significant upgrade). Since he was playing on a smaller stage he definitely played a less main stream set and actually played trance. Still played some cheesey stuff like Highlight Tribe but he played some good trance and a few classics (like communication). Overall enjoyable set but I had a lot higher expectations from him.
Now on to the really good stuff: Paul Oakenfold played two sets at two stages and man did he fucking go OFF. Literally nothing but 98-2001 bangers including fucking MAN WITH NO NAME + Show Spoiler [TRANCE] + Paul van Dyk closed out and per usual was nothing but absolute class trance, driving, and uplifting with his own subtle live edits
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE
Jon O'Callaghan & Will Atkinson after party John fucking crushed it per usual. Lots of his current and old stuff and even played some of will's tracks :p + Show Spoiler [more trance] + Then Will came on and said fuck it I'm gonna blow this place apart. Literally came out firing at 140-142 and ended up around fucking 146 BPM. Just absolutely relentless hard trance bangers, and played his amazing remix to sunset in ibiza and numb the pain + Show Spoiler [CHOONS] +
