Secret was great pre-TI5 but not winning TI really holds against them, that may change this year obviously.
VP is great in between every TI but choke every single TI.
I can't remember how dominant EG was prior to TI5 leading up to their win.
Liquid has a good case with how dominant they were leading up to their TI7 win and they maintained some of it afterwards.
Alliance were incredibly dominant for a long time until Icefrog nerfed their strat into oblivion.

OG peaked at TI8 and is peaking again at TI9 but they were shit for periods in between. I'd say Alliance deserves GOAT more than OG at the moment. Uhm. I'd understand VP/Liquid/Secret. But Alliance? Alliance's 6 months of dominance are still unparalleled. Secret pre-TI5 would probably contest. They make all the teams look like absolute garbage back then. OG when Ana first arrived is also a candidate winning so many major Pre-TI or Post-TI has no place in this discussion imo. Goat discussion has to be weighted heavily towards TI performances. Wings then not because of the dominance but they hold a special place in most dota viewers heart Yeah, best TI performance. Throwing a game with Pudge Techies in the grand finals, who could afford it except them? Picking pudge and techies on the same game at the biggest match of their life will always make them the best team ever. They only had pudge in first game of GF. Pudge techies was their 2nd game vs DC in opening round. Ah that's right. They didn't win any of the pudge games sadly.

And that razor enigma tide line up against current champion EG, nice deathball huh? No, time to play map control and suffocate EG. They were otherworldly.

Yeah, that game is basically legendary after Ver explained what Wings accomplished with it.

I believe the Mason-carry EG still holds the record for highest win rate (with like 20 minimum matches). lol

Frankly TI is the World Cup of Dota. All those other Friendlies don't really matter. The Euros? Those are nice. Copa America? Very nice. African Cup of nations? Lovely.
But none of them are on teh same level of the world cup.
Secret doesn't win the world cup. They won nice stuff but they didnt win what matters. No Goat!
Wasn't Miracle everything RTZ was supposed to be in this run to TI? He was just dominant.

EG won DAC (which was like the second TI back then) and then TI5. That's all you need to remember.

EG was playing second or third fiddle in TI5 and kind of flew under the radar.

Oh no, Zai fell and ripped his pants

Cmon Secret. Punish them for killing Teamliquid.net!
