Pretty sure nether ward deals damage when the spell is cast before it takes effect so it should hit. | ||

they did got figured out after TI. maybe not drafts but their overall playstyle. also lets not forgot that wings was the original potm spammer that year | ||

Basically there are 2 mana cost associated with Ball Lightning. Activation Cost which is minimal and Rolling Cost. Nether ward hits before the spell takes effect so the activation cost will hurt Storm. But afterwards he is invulnerable so although the Nether ward animation will persist, he doesn't take damage from the Rolling Cost since he is already rolling. Unless it's been changed. | ||

I've played quite a bit of pugna, I'm pretty sure this is what happens. It makes a bunch of noise and animations, kind of like when WD heals. It's looks and sounds super impressive but isn't actually doing anything. | ||
