I agree that people overhype CN team too much, but the western teams are facing tough obstacles ahead. VP and liquid/empire will eliminate each other. OG, which have been always shaky in TI, will face veteran LGD which able to perform well at the right time.

There were 5 Chinese teams at the start of TI, and 10 Western teams (4 EU, 3 NA, 2 CIS, 1 SA). So the final 8 consisting of 4 CN and 4 West is a show of Chinese strength -- only 1 Chinese team got knocked out so far.

Well 2 teams in UP plus 2 in LB from China, 4 teams still in game and surely one to grand finals. VS 2 CIS, 1 Europe and 1 US team. I'd say they're by far the best, til now.
Anyway wow at VP vs LGDFY, really some high level dota there.

The lost of Liquid & VP to China team is a tight fight between them and no guarantee the winning team will win again next time if they were to meet again. If the losing team can learn and improve, there are still chances to come back.

The Western teams just showed up completely unprepared for CN meta. Very evident that they had no idea how to adapt to some of the CN meta picks, while the CN teams seemed much more prepared for the Western teams.

Tne are tight fight games between them. Liquid most likely will advance by knocking out Empire and face VP/LGD, in short they are at least a team in best of four. VP is favoured against LGD and likely Liquid or VP will meet Newbee/LFY for lower bracket final.

Statistically true but the champion doesnt come from how many team from the side, the champion is the team that keep winning now onwards, haha. Nobody knows who can keep winning (upper bracket anyhow still "able" to lose one more time).

Maybe they have not studied their opponent thoroughly. Same thing goes to Secret. Liquid gained a game back from iG, likely due to GH kotl. While in lower bracket Secret vs Liquid, Secret didn't ban kotl, and this caused their lost.

lol this guy trying to defend his argument even though statistic, majority, and results proved otherwise
anyways I still think Liquid going to take it all. but given 4 out of top 8 teams, and 2 out of top 3 are Chinese still prove the point that Chinese is owning, regardless who the winner is
|
So CN are owning and the excuse is that west was no prepared ? watching the games i am 100% convinced they were outplaying the western teams , no need to be touchy about it , they are currently playing better across the board , lets hope the west can rise from the LB into an interesting East vs West final ,but it will be no surprise to see CN vs CN grand final.

Wait what, how the fuck VP lost that game

because the 4 western teams have to play 3, not 1, not 2, 3 chinese to grab the aegis?

Wait when did this all become a big East vs West thing? I'm just here for the great games, kappa.

China looks stronger, no doubt about it. However, when you say that China is stronger therefore everyone else sucks, thats when you're crossing the line and talking shit. Same goes for the reverse argument and quite frankly I really dont get how can you be so freaking disrespectful.

LFY wiped in a running battle across the map.
They got the fourth and fifth kill where their T2 tower was. Those fourth and fifth kills based on expert spacing control. When Lycan ran back in Ahfu kicked the Viper out to isolate heroes.
The biggest problem for VP was impatience, slightly off team fight execution, and Necro positioning. LFY wasn't perfect but Ahfu was godly with ES. The last chrono before gg was all Ahfu.
|
Monet was also godly. Inflame was the only one who had some questionable plays and even he didn't play badly overall. What really impressed me was how hard they punished any misstep from VP even when VP was still ahead. That greedy VP push on the mid tier 2 without ults for example looked like it'd lead to just a necro dying, but LFY immediately (seriously, not a moment's hesitation) just fucking charged the retreating heroes (who were already past the river) with ES and kept them in place just long enough to get a bunch of followup kills.
