Agreed, but it's not like their results this tournament are awful, especially considering their track record of sucking day 1. I don't see who they could ever be considered the worst team of the tournament considering Mineski's showing, or the fact that Secret migh lose every series they played (and thus continuing the streak).

But the worst team in the tournament is practically is the most disappointing one. Everyone knew TS would get rekt (even by Wings, lool) and that Mineski wouldn't make it far. The way EG and VGR lost their games to sub-par teams is just astounding, and now they'll decide it once who is the true sucker.

It'd be a battle for the ages. Maybe we could suggest it as a filler grudge match after Secret's eliminated in 3 hours.

Hurts to lose, but they played well and put themselves in positions to win. If they can find a way to improve their late-game play calling, they could get a good bit better.

EG was one high-ground push from going out on top of their group, just in the same way the MVP was 3 missed Shallow Graves from going out last in their group. (Seriously, Julz crumbled in all of their decider matches.) That doesn't suddenly make MVP dumpster tier or EG a title contender. But it does mean some things are simply a lot closer than anyone likes to admit.

I also definitely don't see them going far though. I feel kind of bad for calling out one specific player, but aui just doesn't look good. In the 6ish games I watched of the new eg, he's usually mediocre to average at best. There hasn't been a game where I thought wow, aui played really well and carried them. Feels like he doesn't do enough to help his allies in fights, he needs to be ready to turn when his allies get initiated on. Instead he's so far away, and by the time the initiation comes and he decides to go in, he's too far away, and comes in a second late. His reactions are also kind of slow relative to the average carry imo.

Major Contenders: Newbee, MVP, DC Potentially dangerous: Liquid, OG, LGD, NaVi Severely lacking: Fnatic, Alliance Everyone else: trash, unless one of EG/VGR finally starts performing.

It's kinda like penalty shootout in the final of a major football competition, it's random and one team will get the eternal glory while the other is lost in the limb of sport history.
