You missed Korea's glorious triumph over the RPG menace.

Worth watching the VOD ?

Most entertaining game of today by far. Lot of little mistakes on each side but it was a fun mess to watch.

I just realized: Super's best game this tournament so far was his loss to EG. On Leshrekt.

It's ridiculous how fast these teams are improving.

This is why Koreans beat other regions in every video game that they have a lot of teams in.

This is with their domestic scene basically folding with KDL being done.
If Korean dota had half the support that Korean LoL has they would be much further.

Of course. They'd have taken over by now.

Chinese LoL teams have already given up and started to buy Korean players for their teams.
Korean teams can't financially keep most of their top players because of the huge gap in pay between China and Korea.

I know. I follow both scenes, though I am a Dota fan first.

The Chinese won't ever be able to do what Koreans do in video games, because there is a fundamental difference in attitude. Of that, I was always sure. It's why, even in years when the Chinese win, I said that they won't take over. They simply lack the culture for it.

Which is funny because Korea has assimilated many Chinese culture.
Since the founding of Joseon Korean culture has been hugely influenced by Confucianism.

I don't think that has anything to do with it. The culture I'm talking about is the attitude of Korean professionals, who do whatever it takes to improve their own game, and spend 14 hours a day, every day, to do it. The Chinese managers in LoL have talked about it and why they need to import Korean players - because Chinese players just lack the same attitude. We see that in Dota too. For example, Newbee not playing Dota for six months, iG not practicing during practice time, etc.

Korea has been on the verge of annihilation through numerous invasions eventually diminishing from Gojoseon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gojoseon) to the current borders.
They realize that they need to work harder, longer, and better to survive.

Not sure whether it's this but certainly, in games, they work a lot harder than every one else, and further, they work efficiently. Other regions think that practice = playing drunk with bad music, fucking around in practice games, etc. That's not the way to improve. To improve, you have to play to improve. In the same way that the average player is able to play thousands of hours and still be the same MMR, the same goes for professionals when they're not playing to improve.

I feel sorry for Artstyle, having xboct stand over him like that seems like they don't trust him to do the draft completely. When puppey used to draft, Navi all sat in their chairs and trusted Puppey (kuro) to draft, kinda like EG with ppd (aui)

Now I'm curious where did you find how IG doesn't practice? Do you understand Chinese?

It's pretty obvious when you look at twitch.

Ok. Guess I will figure out how to mute people now.

The only person they should all trust without reservation right now is Sonnieko.

If you have time. It was like team death match with lots of fights and kills, however. It was filled with mistakes and newbee was uncoordinated. Not very skilled but entertaining.

I accepted my status as a lazy fuck years ago.

It's nice to know that, thanks to Azarkon, I can now absolve myself of any responsibility for it, since it's just a racial tendency apparently.

Iceiceice should play Axe. It may be the only way for VG to not completely suck against Dazzle.

It's cultural, having to do with video games specifically.
