This is a big deal when you're starting from level 1. When you split after taking the tower, your team will be level 1-2 against opponents some of whom are level 3, and they haven't used any consumables. That means you can't contest at least one lane, and the XP lead will snowball. It is, however, sometimes worthwhile to push as 5 in one lane at about the 5-minute mark. You still give up some XP. But your solo laners already have levels, you get more XP from any kills when you kick the opponents out of the lane, and you kill the tower a lot quicker. | ||
