And just to add to that - as a support (at least early and mid game) you need to have a bit more map awareness and understanding, be active around the map a bit more (with exceptions of course) - so for me I believe it was hugely beneficial to start out playing support main. Learned a lot more about how everything works together and understanding the game and map movements. | ||

i mainly did it because i wanted it to be done properly. i didn't want to overbuy wards as a 3 or 4 because my supports at the time wanted to rush items with no income from kills or lane. so they'd jungle or force kill attempts in a weird manner. supports have huge impact in the early game, especially when starting out. to be impactful on any role more than your average player (thus meaning your win% goes up thru you) to need to work for it and come up with a few plans on every hero you play. sometimes that just means reusing the same plans on every hero. | ||
