Even if they want to do that, they should be playing pub stacks because there's no sense in playing TMM until you have a decent handle on the game. ESPECIALLY since it's -CM, which is a totally pointless mode until you have some idea of how to draft.

Yes, but if their desire is to "make a team"... Trust me there are plenty of atrocious "team"s out there. I don't think it should cause issues.

How do you know your relative skill rating? Aka normal, high, or very high in matchmaking. Is there any additional way to see what your "rating" is?

In game if you go the "Watch" tab and search under "Recent" games you can use a filter to look for games you played and check which bracket the game was played under (Normal, High, and Very High). You can also see this bracket on Dotabuff (you can see the bracket at the top of the page). There is no other way to see a personal rating as the only ranked MM right now is TMM (Team Match Making).

Only way is to search for your own name in "recent games", and filter "very high", "high" or "Normal", and see where the majority of your games land.

Often the default item guide on int heroes recommends buying a bracer for the extra HP. Is this just foolish/waste of money or is that actually a good idea?

How would you go about stealing ravage on Rubick in a team fight, assuming you have blink and/or force staff? I can't see how you would blink in within the time it takes for tide to anchor smash and then steal, and use ravage without getting melted by the enemy team :/

Tide's ulti travels outwards. So you can actually blink in and jump "over" the ulti, while he still has to stand there until the ulti is completely done. It still required perfect positioning though, and its really hard to do vs tidehunters who que up anchor smash afterwards. But it is possible.

Question: I really suck as Queen of Pain and I want to get better because I see people own with her so often... not just in pubs but in competitive play to. I realize that she's a strong hero.

Are there any good guides or really important tips that would be useful to help me improve my QoP play??

Go to create lobby, then in settings put the game mode to mid only.

not many tips that are specific to qop. learn how to play mid and youll have an easy time early game with qop, since shes one of the strongest mid heroes. as for the rest, pretty much the same as any other mid. get runes, gank when possible but dont neglect farm. the only thing that is different about how you play her as opposed to other mids is you shouldnt be right clicking in teamfights early game. if you blink in and throw all your spells and then stay in one spot, you will probably die. so until you have survival items/better right click damage, learn to abuse her blink by weaving in and out of teamfights as much as you can

Ways to get information on your rating:

1. Recent games skill filter (as already mentioned)
2. Live games in the Watch tab are listed in order of rating, for example if you're consitently playing on Page 1, you're probably in the upper end of "Very High".
3. TMM. When you create a TMM team, your initial TMM rating is determined by the individual ratings of the players that make up the team. Therefore I think http://dotabuff.com/teams vaguely shows who the top rated MM players are (keep in mind some teams aren't shown because of inactivity, and a lot of players aren't in TMM teams).
4. To determine who has the better rating between 2 specific players, you can use the "Balance" button in private lobbies.

Pubstats is another good method, just put in your steam id and you see various stats to do with your MM.

It will always say that the first time you do it. It doesn't pull the stats for your name until after you request it.

what you have to realize is that puck and qop are the only 2 heros that have a instant gap closing and mass aoe nuking power.

This makes them extremely powerfull to sniper heros, give chase, or to fuck up the entire ennemy team composure
