I thought they'd crumble after the first two games, but well played! Mental composure is real as ever. The matches did remind me of the winner's finals games in some sense, though*, so maybe I shouldn't have been suprised at Na'Vi making the series close.

* Same teams, duh, but the mistakes made and gameflow really struck me as being very much the same - as in VP didn't figure Na'Vi out completely.
So zen.

Game 5 was so close, they could have won but after VP got their BKBs it got extremely hard, even when the were able to bait the BKBs and get a lead the amount of life on SF and Centaur was so high that killing them twice was a dream.
Just one bad fight was all VP needed to get ahead once again.

Anyway, they are looking good, hope it will only get better.

4 years later I realised Na'Vi is the russian name Ivan spelled backwards (besides the common interpretation).

AH! THAT'S the reason NaVi are doing good again!? Because Ivan "Artstyle" Antonov is back!

ah, come one!
In one match of NaVi vs. VP a few days back, yes, Ivan died in nearly all team fights! ... but he was the only one and VP lost 3-4 heroes. So, I will call that "space created"

Yea, I remember that game. What was full of space was his inventory.

One thing I particularly enjoy is watching Artstyle going deep into enemy jungle at minute 2 or 3 then dying, right after I can happily observe the viewers reaction in the thread.
Man, their posts are delicious.

If I were Artstyle I would /all "Kappa" every time after just for the audience to go ham.

Man, after watching na'vi man handle VP in some of the teamfights at dream league (completely outplayed them in the rosh fight in game 5), and after VP's run through esl as top seed i can't help but wonder: is na'vi tier 1 now?

Not quite. They still have consistency issues and VP is honestly about the bottom of the T1 bracket, as much as I like them. But they are threatening to be.

Well, seeding matches are certainly not a good indicator of that.

If that's a reference to whatever happened at ESL One that all went on while I was sleeping. VP, like Na'Vi, are not quite consistent enough to be solidly T1 but they are better on average than Na'Vi right now. I say this because VP are the only team in that bracket that Na'Vi have played against at full strength recently.

Since Navi isn't in it, I'm rooting for VP and EG in ESL, but for Navi's perspective, VP was the first tier 1 team they faced in a while and played well. So things are trending up.
