Meh, the last thing EG needs is easy cash. If they want to have a shot at TI they'd be much better off playing EU/CIS/China. Hell SEA is more competitive than NA.

The thing that stood out most to me was how much ice draws on the map. I think I remember that they were looking for another strong voice, so that seems like a big positive sign

They're looking pretty good so far. They seem to have a strong sense of what their timing is with each winning draft. Just wish there were more games to watch. I can't expect the BNY series to last more than 50 mins total, and then it's several more days til a good series

It was a good series even though it was 2-0. Like Jenkins said, you could get hours of content out of the replay analysis. Ice blocking the enemy ancients with Treants was so slick and wasn't really covered by the stream observer.

Medusa has a bad winrate in pubs but seems cool as an OD counter, or at least that's how I view those drafts. She's never going to have lower mana than the OD unless the fight goes very badly, so she's almost never at risk to the ult. Although they didn't want to lane Medusa into OD so maybe it's a mid-late game thing only. Also nice against Slark who wants to do long fights facing into enemy cores and therefore hates Stone Gaze

The analysts made a lot of "EG's playstyle seems slow, that won't work vs Quincy" but I don't think they're going to use the same strats against more than one team until the major. You have so much prep time in this group stage, I feel it's guaranteed they look like a different team vs QC

QC looked and played like the better team, EG's drafts were all over the place and Crit had very little impact on Nyx in all 3 games. It wasn't even a problem with new teammate synergy, QC just overall had better strategy and hero choices. EG seems to once again be falling into the old trap of overvaluing meta heroes and relying on individual skill of their players to outperform the opposition, I don't know if it's because of Bulba or Fly or whomever, they need to adjust their approach in order to reliably beat good teams like QC.

Can only agree; even game 1 seemed flukey, hinging on big chances taken in the last fight. Love the playstyle of abed and ice though.

tiebreakers tomorrow. Fly sounded confident that the team didn't show up against QC the first time and would do much better the next, so they better prove it to me! Lol

Haven’t been so pleased in a while. Very nice games vs undying and qc. The 5 Veno helping keep t1 mid alive for 30 mins was so good
