Sumail popping off against a PPD team is always never in doubt it seems. Morph game 1 was INSANE, then the game 3 Pony game even with a tilt buyback he was able to gather this huge farm and go ham at the end.

that's why it's disappointing to be an EG fan IMO. they also play against stronger teams like they do against weaker ones, and it nearly works. just a shame that it goes down that way.

They can style on weaker teams, sure, but it won't be enough to win TI :/ If we want to win TI, Bulba needs to bring in the cheesy picks. RTZ, Sumail, and S4 have one of the deepest hero pools of any current teams, so just sticking to the formulaic picks doesn't make sense to me. We went toe-to-toe with Secret using the off-meta picks.

Rtz has a lot of Meepo experience as well; last time there was an inhouse league he played nothing but that. Of course, as his Ember shows, winning with it outside tournaments is different from in tournaments, but if they wanted to press the issue they could I think they just don't like relying on that type of hero. It's not in their "way of thinking about dota" as the players and coaches always talk about

EG players mechanical skills and execution are top notches, so they almost always stay top 3. The stable draft helps, since against weaker teams, skill and execution can win you games consistently. But I feel EG needs a little twist in the draft be the champion. It's really hard to win against teams like Secret by outplaying them alone. The little twist can be like picking off-meta heroes like Wind Ranger or Lycan. I think EG is capable of executing NP+Lycan+Chen meme push. It doesn't need to be Meepo or Brood.

from quarterfinals onwards. What if you decide to cheese in a winner bracket or lower bracket finals? What if you come with 2 to 3 very prepared cheese drafts right there? Remember EG never cheeses, is a top team mechanics wise, but it NEVER cheeses, at everybody knows that... And you bet on that on purpose, a very long con. Or maybe they want to prove themselves that they are so good that even if you see their plan coming you cant stop them, kinda a Chinese team or VP when it get rolling (LOL).

I guess it's supposed to be anti-tilt training combined with learning how to play in bad circumstances
