Don't get how EG went from that game 1 of the series to finish off like they did in game 3. Game 2 was in the bag until they just decided to feed constantly for 15 minutes and let Sven get to level 25 on them. Now they are in a stupidly hard lower bracket with Secret and VP, let alone the other teams xD

Yeah, they came out swinging and looked great in game1.
They had all the advantage they need in game 2, then it all went to shit... Game 3 was just... meh!?

No idea what that was, but we have playe great overall, letts do it from the lower.

I got a good feeling about this team, they keep improving. Securing a Major this season is a realistic dream

This VP team looks shaky. And Noone said in the interview with DL yesterday that 50% of the team is sick or feeling ill. They are not in theier best form, and we are looking real hot right now.

Yeah they went to WESG and that clearly is not done them any good at all. They lost over their (4 of the VP squad) and if they are now sick that is not helping them at all. Hopefully EG can make this lower bracket run to the finals and win it!

Am I the only one who thought the drafts were weird? Like even game 1. I felt like they should have made s4 viper purely for just how sumail was building the hero and then sumail could have gotten like his Mirana or some right clicky hero.

If they moved away from Viper and Bounty Hunter for Game 3 would have been fine. I also think game 2 was a big let off, i know VP played so well defensively but i feel as soon as Rtc got his AC on Sven they should have then just started really throwing bodies at it. When Disrupter got aghs it was kinda over as the bkb duration anyway was so low and they actually did damage. Was very weird, but still, they qualified for TI off of this so onto the next one.

May the 4th...Disneyland Paris, lets win that :D

This didn't feel like seeing EG!
Sumail on the boring heroes, Rtz playing way more aggressive and flash. EG problems in the past is having one play style, so they properly wanted to test and show something different.
Could also be that Rtz just wanted to show that he can play flashy and not just farm and this tournament was at the right time.

BH especially felt really weird, it's a shame they lost as VP was definitely beatable this Major. At least TI9 is secured and there's still more tournaments to be played.

BH offlane is only something Zai can pull off. They just stuck with the wrong strategy/picks game 3 and picking Terror Blade without banning Phantom Lancer was also a big mistake.

Game 2 was winnable but they somehow got suddenly super scared after they lost 1 engagement. Game 3 was a bad draft, just not what EG normally plays (Picking Viper over and over again was also a bad decision if you have one of the most talented Mid player).

Qualified for TI but not satisfied for sure. They want to win a Major! I hope they will keep improving and reach their peak at TI

It's hard to say, but I wonder how things would have gone if EG made it to the finals. Statistically they beat Vici yet Vici won the tournament.

Yeah not only did they beat VG they actually stomped them lol. It was the easiest game they had in the groupstage, but maybe was just a very bad day for VG? But VG defo looked good towards the end, that game 2 of winners final vs Fnatic i thought their team fight was second to none.

One thing that worries me is that they keep losing to top teams like VP or Liquid, often due to drafting issues, if they want to win this year's TI they need to improve and get to the next level, so to speak. Truth be told, sometimes I wonder if EG keeping lulba as a coach is a good thing, some of the drafts they picked this season were really weird.
