When Riki was in the meta last year? Maybe longer i forget, they used to just play him 4 and build diffusal and he would do alot of work. Also at non pro level Riki very fun with aghs xD Looking at the qualifiers going on at the moment. ESL One Birmingham Major, LGD have failed to qualify, so have VGJ Thunder, meaning it is a chance for us to close the gap on those above us in DPC, however LFY and iG are playing for the spot. We are 500 and 600 points behind LGD and VGJ.

I think the patches have benefited EG's style; they are one of the most efficient teams in terms of getting gold out of the map.

but i hope EG steps up as well, the scene feels kinda off when they're not good

Look at their play from before & after and not just the final placement.

Their draft was pretty lackluster.

If anything, i would rather have EG adapt as well as Liquid than as well as Mineski, wich to me seemed a very good team that got figured out. With that said i'm most probably being biased here

That would mean EG would have to be atleast 3rd / 2nd at Supermajor or get thrown into qualifiers with Complexity, Optic and VGJ.Storm.

Is it just me, or has the new point system lead to that the top teams seem to be holding back a little at the moment to avoid fatigued and get figured out before TI. Some teams seem to more try out new heroes and strategies then actually win at the moment. Think EG has a real chance to win one of these next tournament, just hope that it's not like last year where they developed really nice strat that TL figured out before TI, and left them looking ordinary in TI.
