They only need top 2 to avoid the "breakout" BO3 iirc. Doable. Need to beat Secret or VP in a BO1. I think they have the harder group and I like it. Give them solid challenges earlier to prevent their contagious cockiness.

head: expecting 0-2 on day 1 because EG always has day 1 problems and it's two of the hottest teams. Then 1-1 day 2 because they probably can't beat Secret. 2-0 day 3 vs Effect and IG, 1-0 day 4 vs Mineski. Total 4-3, enough to be upper bracket instead of breakout

It's kinda like that, top 2 from each group goes to the last bracket, while 3~6 from each group play a bo3, winners go to this last bracket and then we get the final 8 (4 from breakout 4 from top2 groups), from then the first 2 lower brackets are bo1 and grand finals bo5, rest is bo3.

I think it worked a little in the laning stage, just after that they decided to "run at VP" for whatever reason, even though the whole game VP were tp'n like 3/4 heroes minimum to a lane to gank.
The issue was Cr1t doom was irrelevant that draft, they picked it to help win the laning stage vs Chen and that didn't work either, then every doom was awful.

But if they replayed that game without the feeding frenzy for 3-5 minutes after the laning stage which was equal despite a 16kill lead, might have done something idk.

I personally would have picked void 3rd because they didn't, then literally pick same draft as game 1, void/aa combo. Rtc luna farming and cr1t rubick would have been great.

Oh well 1W 1L day 1 is ok, if we can beat Secret might be able to sneak into top 2!

Game vs VGJ was questionable, watching it I was thinking this is game 2 vs Optic all over again. Threw away a 7k gold lead only to nearly lose the game. At least they came out on top. Scary that EG is unable to push their lead and close these games, it's far too tentative.

I don't like last pick DP, but either way Fear should not have died 1v1 to Noone on the opposing high ground. That kill right there allowed Sniper to TP / walk around the map with no net worth loss.

The panel was talking about Rtz having some issues, sounds like he has been rly sick or something like that, not in the best shape to play.
I think Fear has been the one playing the worst after GESC victory... and the play overall is not as crisp as it was some weeks ago... we need to find that form for day 2.

The comeback win vs iG shows they are in a good state for me, i think they lose that game comfortably online like they been played recently. However at lan, they just do right choice, take great fights and importantly dont panic.

I think they only won that game because of a crucial mistake by Q. He dropped wards on the EG's mid tier 2 and TP'd back to defend bottom T2. I think if iG grouped up and right clicked the mid T2 then dropped wards on the high ground, they get the rax (T3 minimum) and it's a very different game (at least much harder for EG to come back).

However, I did like this time they put Fear back on Visage and Sumail on DK (last time it was reversed and I think Arteezy was Drow), even though Fear got dumpstered in lane.
