Hoping EG can just get some nice drafts like they have been doing so far.

I think the Treant was a good solution to what Misery was trying to do on NP.

In retrospect, they should probably have played safer, cheesier strats having the 160 ping disadvantage... The EU players they meet are very talented players... Giving them a small advantage like the ping can be enough to turn the series.
Vega played well, EG didnt, sad that we wont see them at Epicenter...

Ok MDL qualifiers are on, it all completes tonight. 1-0 up vs DC atm, game 2 now. Winner playes Optic in a bo3, then grand final of VGJ S for place in MDL Major (2nd one)

VGJ.S is playing well, and ppd has figured out how to draft for Optic better. EG is the better team than both, but even if they should win 90% of the time, that means they still lose 10% of the time.

EG looked like a team on the rise at last tournament, but now looked more out of sync and without the clear plan. Best example is game two with batrider and AA lasso and blast combo missing so many times.

Yeah thats how i see it too, they went from having an idea to playing well. To now looking like they have no idea how to draft and play again. They should lose 10% of the time sure, but losing 2x bo3 to Optic and VGJs is more than 10% of the time, they just so silly with the way they played it not good.

That is TWO majors in a row EG have failed to qualify for from NA qualifier, that is quite clearly bad! That isn't going to give their TI chance any hope at all unless they win some more minor tournies and their competitors for top6 don't get points from the majors.

Major coming up in China this week, starting Thursday. If they turn up to this and start playing well again and winning then well there is something wrong with the way they play online games that needs to be addressed lol.

Also if they don't get top 8 and qualify via points system, imagine the NA qualifier for TI, again it will be exactly the same teams. VGJs CoL DC and Optic to get through and they have proven they can't win vs them regularly online xD

To me it seems EG drafted very similarly in these losses as they did at GESC. Difference is that now teams have seen what they like and NA teams probably know them better so they may know what to ban and what to pick themselves. A bunch of EG's lineups have been somewhat allinnish too so if they don't play the game very crisply and fall behind they have a hard time taking the game later.

That last sentence sums it up for me, they pick high level drafts / all in strats which require you to be so much better than your opponents / do everything perfect to win. They do this because they think they are huge gaps between them and the rest of the NA teams and that lack of respect is embarassing them in these qualifiers.

I honestly will be even more mad if they go to DAC this week and set it on fire again and do stupidly well and get top 4 and earn some big points after the display they showed in last few games online!

Yes i also read they were sick, but Rtc said 24th March tweet "ahh finally better" that meant Sunday they were all on point for those loses to Optic? They should be beating Optic

Anyway, onwards and upwards, not many tournies left to go hard in for us. Gotta get those points. Missing out on 2 majors is huge, need to get that invite to ESL Birmingham and then one more major TBA iirc.
