Its will be shame if this turn out to be true, and even more shame if valve dont react.

Sorry for the off topic, but Zenith was most definitely a tier 1 team. TI2 was a disappointment despite a 5/6th spot. Zenith at TI3 was a weaker team than the two earlier years, but was still 9th-12th in the world. hyhy and icex3 fanboy speaking, but I think it's lack of respect for a team that good to claim they weren't tier 1.

Going back to the topic I've always respected xiao8 a lot, and I guess you could consider this yet another example of him doing anything for his team to become the best, but what I don't understand is how he's managed to convince other teams to agree to this. What does any other team have to benefit from a boycot? Practicing a lot against DK would surely improve them more than NOT doing it.

I meant strictly ti3 Zenith. I also meant t1 as in top 8 ti I guess that's a little more strict then most people would consider but whatever.

Don't think it's on Valve to fix (if true) since China have a organization that's supposed to deal with teams/players in ACE.

Nevertheless I think Newbee should be allowed to not scrim DK if they don't want to, that's totally fine but if it's because of racism it should be looked on and if they tell other teams to not scrim DK that's also really bad.

Even if all the allegations turn out true, Valve has no ground for interfering. They don't have the power or right to force teams to practice with each other. It would be a scummy move by Xiao8, but it's each team's decision whether or not they follow his lead.

Pretty much. Captilast just tweeted this.+ Show Spoiler +

I had totally forgotten about that. But yeah if you remember the only teams Orange and Zenith scrimmed last year before ti were basically Orange and Zenith.

well to be fair china would rather play on their own servers and orange/zenith have pretty crappy pings to china, so yeah it's not like china was obliged to play with sea teams

Ya I know that and Zenith was never exactly t1 but Orange was always competitive with t1 China teams.

Zenith was never tier 1? They where one of the favorites to win TI2 and where still on par with the Chinese teams pre-TI3.

Haha whoever is handling that twitter account probably won't be handling it much longer....

Meanwhile, xiao8 posts chat convos between the team managers of NB and DK, showing them set up times for scrims, between the beginning of may and the 21st of may.

This is what Mushi's admin posted:

Some of you who add Mushi at weibo may know the news already, let me tell u the story here..
DK has been boycott by China team (don't want to train with them) for quite some time because of xiao8 (Newbee) asking other team not to train with DK, just want DK to fall, stop them from improving, saying that DK is not truly a China team(because of Mushi & iceiceice), don't want them to be champion. I know many of u will ask for prove, I just can tell u, they got this news from a very reliable person & DK aint a person who will simply flame a person.
Other than training with VG, CIS, they can only train with public, or 2v2 among themselves.
*admin posting

Mushi's Weibo post was also corroborated by Burning. This seems like it could be real

If this pariah status is true this does help clear up for me whether or not there was bad blood over DKs reshuffle after TI3.

It's cool that Super and ROTK are still working with Burning and MMY.

If this situation is true this would hurt my respect for xiao8. He's already been in a bubble after his transition to Newbee.

Erm according to Mushi's interview post ti3, Zenith and Orange strims against each other most of the time and Zenith wins 80% of the time..... So u know....

I'm suspecting that this person isn't actually part of NewBee organisation in China and does not represent their official views i.e. he/she is not based in China, probably more of a Mali-LGD relationship.

Honestly even if it is racist or if it's just because DK is/was number one in China people saying something needs to be done are ridiculous.

Such BS. "Disapproval of foreigners". They say as they eat a burger, or drink a cola, watch a movie, or use a technology / product they didn't invent. Don't play DOTA2 its made by muricans. Arrogant, shameful bigots. Anyway, I believe DK will overcome all obstacles and play for DOTA2 free of prejudice.

They can fix it very easily - drop players/teams from TI.

Ofc they should be allowed to don't scrim with whatever they want, but its not the same to don't want to scrim (which is okay) and convincing other teams to do the same based on some racist shit (which is not).
