This year marked the return of Liquid`Dota, and what a year it was. Despite falling too early in The International, we rightfully earned the label of favorites due to a year of consistent success. We conquered The Defense Season 5 barely two months after our reincarnation, and followed that up with bronze at WCA 2015 two weeks later. From March to June, we were arguably the best team on the planet; we took silver at the Shanghai Major, ESL One Manila and the Manila Major, then claimed gold at Epicenter in Moscow. While the team slowed down after a third place finish at ESL One Frankfurt, Team Liquid had held strong throughout a year of shifting metas.
Unfortunately, even we aren't immune to the infamous Post-TI Shuffle. Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka has decided to leave the team to seek other opportunities, and we would like to wish The Earth Spirit himself good luck.
JerAx earned the right to be considered one of the best support players in the world with astonishingly flashy plays in a position known more for quiet contributions. When you saw his Tusk snowball into a skirmish, or his Earth Spirit boulder into battle, you knew that something big was about to happen.
We would like to thank JerAx for a year of unforgettable moments, and we know that he'll keep rolling wherever he decides to go.
Gutted to see him go, His plays have been amazing and I think we will be hard pressed to replace him with someone as good. Looks stoned af in that pic too:D
This is the only player Liquid can not replace. Sure, maybe other player may achieve more in the same position, but this would require a major change for the team.
